Bereft of life, Andrew Breitbart rests in peace; but his Web site is alive and well and dishing up his final scoop on President Obama – duly forwarded by Fox Nation to its faithful readers Yesterday, Breitbart.com revealed the hideous skeleton in the President’s closet: fourteen years ago in Chicago, then-State-Senator Obama attended a play called The Love Song of Saul Alinsky, - a play that “glorifies” the late Chicago community organizer, and then participated in a panel discussion afterward, along with other agitators, community organizers and Communist apparatchiks.
Oh, horrors! Gentle reader, I am aghast!
Obama’s familiarity with (his detractors say devotion to) Alinsky’s teachings has been right-wing fodder for years, as we’ve reported before. Never mind that the majority of Fox faithful had probably never heard of Alinsky before Glenn Beck and Newt Gingrich put him in their Gallery of Great Leftist Satans. Never mind that his tactics were sufficiently nonpartisan that even the Tea Party organizers adopted them. The Breitbart types seem to think that just the name “Alinsky” is enough to damn Obama forever in the eyes of all red-blooded Americans.
Breitbart.com shows us a poster for the play (red, of course) and recounts some juicier moments from the script. “In the first few minutes of the play, Alinsky plays Moses – yes, the Biblical Moses – talking to God….In an introspective moment, Alinsky rips America: “My country … ‘tis of whatthehell / And justice up a tree … How much can you sell / What’s in it for me.”… The play finishes with Alinsky announcing he’d rather go to Hell than Heaven. Why? ‘More comfortable there. You see, all my life I’ve been with the Have-Nots: here you’re a Have-Not if you’re short of money, there you’re a Have-Not if you’re short of virtue. I’d be asking more questions, organizing them.’” Definite radical leftist stuff, delighting in its radicality, gasps Breitbart.com.
So far they don’t know what Obama said in that panel discussion but they’re doing their damnedest to find out. Yesterday, the Fox Nation posted a follow-up from Breitbart informing us that the director of the play has a videotape but won’t release it. Prompting a bit of outrage from readers:
This, Breitbart trumpets, is “a story that should swing the first hammer against the glass wall the mainstream media has built around Barack Obama.” Really? Well, keep hammering, guys; at this rate you should make a dent in that wall sometime in 2073.
These frauds are a joke.
You mean — THIS was the big expose Brietbart was talking about . . . going to a frickin PLAY??!!
Well, all I can say is — WHEW! For a moment, I thought they were gonna scream about a protest Obama participated in at Harvard, in support of law professor Derek Bell and the hiring of more minority faculty members, in 1991:

{Look at that — Obama making a speech, and not a teleprompter in sight! :^) }
All I can say is, if these two things — attending a play and panel discussion, and participating in a peaceful campus protest — are all Andy had, it was truly much ado about nothing.
Breitbart claimed they were going to “change the election.” They will, all right — from a majority vote for President Obama to an even BIGGER majority vote for President Obama . . .

“What happened to REAL reporters like back in the Watergate era?”
Cue Futurama’s Bender pulling out the dictionary for the meaning of “irony.” (Futurama episode, “The Devil’s Hands Are Idle Playthings”)
