Fox Does Not Want You To Connect Climate Change To California WIldfires
Fox’s Your World show quickly responded to Governor Jerry Brown’s suggestion that climate change is to blame for California wildfires – via a one-sided discussion with a climate-change denier. The guest was David Kreutzer, merely introduced as being with The Heritage Foundation, without mention that he is a climate denier and that The Heritage Foundation is Koch-supported.

Senator Marco Rubio followed up his climate denial on ABC’s This Week with a climate denial on The O’Reilly Factor last night. Predictably, O’Reilly did not ask any pesky questions about Rubio’s ridiculous attempt to make climate denial about abortion - as he did on Sean Hannity’s radio show last week – or his inability to cite any source that led him to conclude that human activity may not be causng climate change. In fact, even though Rubio’s comments on ABC were rated false by PolitiFact, O’Reilly gave him a pass on that, too. Instead, O’Reilly lauded Rubio as some kind of original thinker.

Instead of discussing the substance of recent comments on race by Attorney General Eric Holder and First Lady Michelle Obama, Sean Hannity used the opportunity to attack them. First, he gathered an all-white panel, then fed them race-baiting prompts.

Read moreTucker Carlson Defends His White Privilege Against 'Racist' Attacks
If you watch Fox News, you learn that it's hard out there for a rich, white dude. In the alternate universe of America's fair & balanced newsroom, America's rich, white, patriarchal right wing live in an alternate universe in which they are the targets of racist attacks and general oppression at the hands of jealous, greedy, lazy, dark skinned takers. As members of the persecuted, privileged class, they take particular umbrage to the term "white privilege," a sociological construct that has, since the beginnings of this nation, created a racial divide in order to maintain white hegemony. Nobody exemplifies white privilege more than trust fund baby Tucker Carlson who is mighty pissed that the filthy, Marxist masses would impugn his white privilege, a badge that he carries with pride. Once again, we're reminded of why Jon Stewart called Carlson a total "dick."
Read moreGot Hypocrisy? Mike Huckabee Thinks Gays Are Bigoted Bullies?
When LGBT groups protested against the anti-gay views of the president of Chick fil-A and the Duck Dynasty patriarch, Mike Huckabee rushed to the defense of their free speech. Recently, he did a lot of whining about how the sainted Benham brothers were robbed of their HGTV show due to gay bullies and "thought police on the left." He accused the left of showing "their insecurity of an opinion that is anything other than their own" and trampling the First Amendment rights of faith filled, biblical Americans. So one wonders what Huckabee thinks about a biblical Christian boycott against the St. Louis Rams for their sin of drafting the openly gay Michael Sam and VISA because they gave Sam an advertising contract? Shouldn't he be upset about biblical Christian bullies?
Read moreHannity Enthusiastic About Execution By Firing Squad
In case you missed it, Utah's Republican Rep. Paul Ray was so moved by the botched execution in Oklahoma that he has come up with what he thinks is a more humane solution: firing squads. Last night, Sean Hannity couldn't think of anything not to like.
Read moreMegyn Kelly Rehabs Benham Brothers As Having ‘Traditional Views’
Megyn Kelly left out some key details about David and Jason Benham’s right-wing extremism when they appeared as guests on The Kelly File tonight. It’s too bad because when she wasn’t busy painting the brothers as Christian martyrs for their “traditional” beliefs, some of her interview was actually pretty decent. She even managed to diplomatically present the case for gay marriage. But the devil is in the details, as the Benhams might say, and you have to ask why those details were not provided.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney got a big dose of Republican Rehab yesterday as Fox News Sunday turned him into a Serious Critic of President Obama’s foreign policy, prompted him to urge Hillary Clinton be held accountable for Benghazi and conveniently erased from his own record that huge blunder called the Iraq War. You know, the one nobody on Fox has held him accountable for. While they were at it, Wallace helped Cheney give a little extra cred to Rove’s attack on Hillary Clinton’s health.
Read moreIs Fox News' Book Protesting Dad, William Baer, A Famous Birther?
As I reported, William Baer, a New Hampshire resident who was arrested after speaking out about a high school reading assignment at a school board meeting, appeared on Fox News. During his interviews with Megyn Kelly and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, he received warm validation for his protest against the school and the school board whose rules he broke during his outburst. While the school has reviewed its policy to ensure that parents will always be aware of their children's' reading assignments, Baer is not letting the matter drop and, as he told Fox, is assembling his legal team presumably for a lawsuit. He has become the darling of the Tea Party, nationally, and quite the celebrity for a right wing NH group. Given Baer's current right wing bona fides, I wondered if he had a history of partisanship. From what I discovered, it appears that William "Billy" Baer, if he is the now famous William Baer, is not just your average dad. One wonders if Fox was aware of his colorful, uh, history?
