Another Fox News Sunday Without A Democratic Politician Or Policymaker
We can add today to our long - and growing - list of Republican-interviews-only Fox News Sunday shows. Today's lineup featured an interview with Republican Congressman Justin Amash and General Michael Hayden, identified by host Wallace merely as "former head of the NSA and CIA," and not as a top official of the George W. Bush administration. That interview was followed by an interview with Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. The panel was similarly imbalanced and featured one Democratic commenter, Juan Williams against two Republicans, former Senator Jim DeMint and Bill Kristol. Plus Fox News Media analyst Howard Kurtz, political affiliation unknown but married to a Republican operative.

Fox News does take its talking points, sometimes word for misspelled word, from the Republican National Committee. Now that the RNC has decided that they will promote the meme that Anthony Weiner's junk shots, Elliot Spitzer's past peccadilloes, and sexual harassment allegations against Mayor Bob Filner show hypocrisy of the Democrats in the "war on women," it comes as now surprise that Fox News would advance the false narrative. As Rachel Maddow points out, this is "Political Strategy 101 -- take your rivals' isolated troubles, tie them together, and try to apply the condemnation as broadly as possible." This is exactly what Tucker Carlson and Alisyn Camerota did on this morning's Fox & Friends. And in keeping with the false narrative, which included outright lies, they, as Maddow also notes, require their audience to "lose sight of what makes the "war on women" important as a matter of public policy." Oh right, I forgot. That's the policy that Fox News pushes because, they claim, it helps women. You have now entered another dimension of sight and sound....

Apparently, a full hour of Rush Limbaugh was so nice for “liberal” Greta Van Susteren that she did it twice – in one week! And just as she did the first time, Van Susteren was full of softball questions, only, last night. Limbaugh’s recent “nigga” remark, part of his comments about the George Zimmerman trial, that was widely condemned? Not a word from Van Susteren, even though she asked if he had “anything to say” about the verdict.
Read moreSave The Date, Mike Huckabee To Speak At Hate Group Retreat
Funny, while Barack Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers was very tangential, Fox News had no problem braying about how Obama was, in the parlance of Sarah Palin, "palling around with terrorists." Yet, Mike Huckabee is quite close to Bryan Fischer, head of the SPLC designated hate group, The American Family Association. According to SPLC documentation, the Christian "family values" group is homophobic, anti-Islam, and anti-Obama. Fischer has also said that Native-Americans deserved to be killed during American expansion, those on welfare "rut like rabbits," and that the Constitution only protects Christians. When he appeared on Fischer's radio program, Huckabee claimed that during Obama's youth, he was filled with anti-American ideas. But if you want to hear Huckabee, whilst enjoying some hate-filled Christian ambiance, you can be part of it for rates starting at $646 during the week-end of October 1st in Ashville, NC. Funny, those on Fox frequently accuse liberals of hating America...
Shannon Bream, Rocking The Swimwear!
Like her "America Live" predecessor, Megyn Kelly, Shannon Bream is the total package of blonde brains and beauty. And not only does she have a law degree but she finished fourth in the 1995 Miss USA Pageant and was in the top ten in the 1991 Miss America pageant which she participated in while a student at Liberty University. (Per their student rulebook no kissing or dancing but strutting yer stuff is just dandy!) We don't have any footage of the very Christian Bream in her Miss America bathing suit (the student rule book says that bathing suits are only for the beach); but we do have video of Ms. Bream sporting a lovely red bikini at the Miss USA pageant. And while she was showing off her assets, she also gave us a taste of her deep thinking which is a hallmark of her fair & balanced "America Live" presentation: "I'd like to think I'm the kind of person who has character, you can have money, fame, fortune, successes but without character, in the end you're really nothing." That's what she said!

Sarah Palin's suggestion that if only she had been allowed to discuss then-candidate Barack Obama's ignorance and inexperience she might have won in 2008 was not just hilariously ridiculous, it made her the winner of our Fox News Outrageous Quote of the Week poll. Well, at least she was able to win one contest as a result, eh?
Read moreThe Daily Show Destroys Fox News' Whining About Raising The Minimum Wage
We've written many times about Fox News' "blame the working poor" hostility toward raising the minimum wage. But nothing can outdo John Oliver's hilarious shredding of the "fair and balanced" network last night. The targets of his ridicule could not have been more deserving, the Fox Business regulars, including VP Neil Cavuto. Oliver even worked in a few points I'd swear he got from our recent post on the subject. Great Friday afternoon entertainment - and right on target!
Read moreOn Your World, The Only Question About ObamaCare Is Should It Be Defunded Or Not?
Sen. Marco Rubio visited Your World yesterday for a lengthy interview. Host Neil Cavuto asked about Obamacare “and maybe defunding it” to get “closer in line with that libertarian point of view espoused by Senators Lee and Cruz and others who argue that in the case of Obamacare, just defund it. That’s something that you hadn’t been talking about months ago, but now are leading an uphill fight to make it happen now.”
Read moreChris Hayes Excoriates Bill O'Reilly's 'Super Racist Rant'
Last week, in the middle of Bill O'Reilly's ongoing hate-a-palooza directed against the African-American community, MSNBC's Chris Hayes did a piece that summed up Bill's angry white man shtick quite adeptly. It's funny, during one of O'Reilly's attacks on "black culture," he asserted that Lil Wayne (as opposed to a discriminatory justice system and lack of economic opportunity) demeans black culture. Hayes suggests that the same question could be asked about Bill O'Reilly and white culture: “If Bill O’Reilly is representative of white culture, with his stereotyping and his victim-blaming and domineering tone, then I’m pretty sure we need to start having a national conversation about the problems with white culture." Check out the video.
