We've written many times about Fox News' "blame the working poor" hostility toward raising the minimum wage. But nothing can outdo John Oliver's hilarious shredding of the "fair and balanced" network last night. The targets of his ridicule could not have been more deserving, the Fox Business regulars, including VP Neil Cavuto. Oliver even worked in a few points I'd swear he got from our recent post on the subject. Great Friday afternoon entertainment - and right on target!
Oliver made so many great points, it's impossible to list them all. So I'll just say, you'll probably love every minute.

@ ted schade Dear Ted: since you mentioned conservatives, how much do you want to bet that the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of conservatives have probably NEVER, EVER in their lives been FORCED to settle for a menial, dead end low-paying job in retail or services, especially a “McJob” or a “Wallyworld” job? After all, most conservatives DO have LOTS of friends and relatives in high places to ensure that if, heaven forbid, they ever get laid off or get fired from a high-paying job, they’ll be back at work in another high-paying job in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS!

It actually goes down, Ted. Republican-run cities in California are claiming that crap, well, guess what? San Francisco raised theirs, people only need one job now, which means there are job openings- ones that are being filled!
Wanna guess which California city has the lowest unemployment rate? Wanna guess which California city might be lowering it again, due to local deflation?
But to hear the California GOP talk about that, you’d think we were Detroit. Except they don’t want to throw us away.
