Fox News Kicks Off Its War On Easter Hatefest
Easter has come early for Todd Starnes and Fox News this year. Not only have they found their latest excuse for “War on Easter” Christian victimhood, they were able to demonize American Muslims at the same time. This was probably sweeter than chocolate or marshmallow to Fox's culture warriors!
Read moreBill O'Reilly Named After Family Keepsake Truncheon?!
As we know, Bill O'Reilly is a macho guy who sees the world in terms of good vs. evil, black vs. white (literally as well as figuratively), Christians vs. "secularists," and so forth. He sees himself as a fighter against nefarious forces that are eroding his traditionalist, Catholic, 1950's society. His sense of being besieged by those who do not meet Bill's high moral standards (Ahem) is reflected in his patented "war on Christmas." And when somebody really, really gets Bill's Irish up, as does NY City Mayor Bill de Blasio and an "Occupy" protester, he fantasizes about beating them up. We don't know if Bill's pugilistic tendencies are the result of an abusive father, his high school's "tough" Marianist Brothers, or just Bill being Bill. But one thing is for sure, his combative manliness (Ahem) is reflected in a personal accoutrement. Simmer down now, it's not what you think.

Fox News’ recent excuse to play the conservative victim – as a cover for attacking their political foes – is the horrible, shocking, earth-shakingly important decision of some women not to speak to a conservative reporter at a feminist conference. Last night, Megyn Kelly allowed conservative Dana Loesch to smear feminists as “old cat ladies,” “Mean Girls with less attractive women” and tout the “reality” that there is no pay inequality for women. All the while Kelly and Loesch complained about liberal intolerance.

As the "morning happy-talk show that Ailes uses as one of his primary vehicles to inject his venom into the media bloodstream," it's not surprising that Fox & Friends would be part of Fox News' "echo chamber" for America's Islamophobic network whose newest cause célèbre is a documentary, done by the anti-Muslim Clarion Fund, a group that has done other movies praised by anti-Muslim activists. This film, "Honor Diaries" purports to show that domestic violence, in Islamic societies, derives from Islam itself. Because they have criticized the film, not so much for the content but for the obvious Islamophobic agenda behind it, the Muslim civil rights group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is now in Fox News' crosshairs and was the target of a vicious attack, by Megyn Kelly earlier this week. And now, Fox & Friends has jumped on board the hate filled propaganda bandwagon!

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio can join Sarah Silverman on the list of people Bill O'Reilly has announced he'd like to physically assault. Speaking at a Catholic fundraiser, of all places, O'Reilly and Fox News pal Megyn Kelly whined about the growing number of American takers just looking to mooch off makers like those two hardworking talking heads. Fox's Brian Kilmeade was also there and cheered on O'Reilly's threat. Just what Jesus had in mind, I'm sure.

Of all our Fox News Outrageous Quote of the Week winners, Donald Rumsfeld may well be THE most deserving. This disgraced war monger had the nerve to go on Fox News and not just smear President Obama in the middle of a delicate situation in Afghanistan, not just express more sympathy for Afghanistan's president than our own - but to go on and compare our president - unfavorably - to a trained ape.

Remember when Bill O’Reilly mocked those who disingenuously use emails to make a point and act as though it’s coming from someone else? That was little over a week ago. O’Reilly must have counted on his audience not remembering or not caring. Because tonight, that’s exactly what he did as an excuse to level yet another racial attack on Congresswoman Barbara Lee.
Read moreFox News Double Standard On Flag Disrespect: "Hippies" Vs Tea Party
On Fox News, the American flag is right up there with the cross of Jesus as the ultimate American totemic object of worship. Any perceived disrespect to the flag is met with righteous indignation. In September 2012, Megyn Kelly was chagrined and appalled that the Obama campaign had an American flag visual which replaced the flag's stars with the campaign's logo. Meanwhile, nobody on Fox seemed concerned about images of the American flag that were similarly altered, only with Tea Party iconography. Yesterday, alleged "news" anchor Martha MacCallum showed us, once again, that not all American flags are created equal.

On Fox’s Your World, host Neil Cavuto discussed the minimum wage and union-backed protestors calling for wage hikes in the usual “fair and balanced” way: by denigrating them. He showed a clip of protesters chanting, “Hey, hey, ho, ho. Poverty wages have got to go.” That was all the “other side” Fox News thought necessary to “balance” Cavuto’s very friendly interview with Sen. John Thune (R-SD). But first, Cavuto made fun of the protesters.
Read moreMegyn Kelly Keeps Hate Alive With More CAIR/Islam Bashing
While Fox News promotes right wing Christianity, there is, as we saw with its coverage of the "Ground Zero Mosque," no depth to which Fox will sink in its efforts to use any issue to smear Islam and, in so doing, reinforce its characterization as an "echo chamber" for the well-oiled national machinery of Islamophobia. Fox's "truth detector" Megyn Kelly has consistently aided and abetted Fox's efforts to denigrate Islam. On Monday she used a movie about domestic violence in Islamic society, produced by an anti-Islamic group, to attack CAIR and lie about a writer who agrees with CAIR in their criticism of the film. But just to show that she is fair & balanced, she subsequently hosted a representative from CAIR - and then proceeded to join her other guest, a woman who believes that Huma Abedin is tied to Islamic Jihad, in bashing Islam and CAIR.
