Special Report’s Love Fest For Margaret Thatcher
Margaret Thatcher was a divisive figure in Great Britain. But if you blinked, you'd not know that from watching Special Report’s All-Star Panel earlier this week. Not only was a discouraging word nowhere to be heard, they all seemed to be competing for who could slobber over her the most.
Read moreJay-Z And Beyonce´ In Cuba Van Susteren’s Top Story
Fox News Vacation Police are still investigating those all-important questions about the circumstances of Beyoncé’s and Jay-Z’s trip to Cuba. Forget the breaking news about North Korea’s nuclear missile capability or the beginning of debate on gun safety measures or the President’s proposed budget and its cuts to Social Security. The top story on On The Record last night – which spent nearly 10 minutes discussing – was that trip to Cuba and the burning question about how Fox can use it against the Obama administration what role the Obama administration played. But no explanation as to why Fox News was for visiting Cuba before it was against it.
Read moreBill O'Reilly, Dennis Miller (Who Has Gay Friends) Mock Proposed Gay Infertility Insurance Coverage
Along with thumping the bible, those who are opposed to marriage equality are obsessed with the mechanics of gay sex which they feel is unnatural. (Yeah, I know...) So after the Murdoch owned Weekly Standard published an article about proposed California legislation that mandates insurance companies to cover the cost of infertility for gay couples, the right wing media world lit up with homophobic outrage. While the bill appears to be an attempt to provide equal health care treatment for gays, those who are upset (and judging from the lack of coverage in the CA media, it's not Californians) feel that it rewards those who aren't having sex the way that Jesus wants them to. So who better to provide more stupid commentary about this than Dennis "some of my best friends are gay" Miller and Bill O'Reilly who, despite speculation that his views on gay issues have evolved, seems to be devolving back to his old school homophobia.
Read moreFox Helps Rehab Ann Coulter After ‘Joking’ About Killing Meghan McCain
In case you missed it, Fox Nation recently removed an Ann Coulter article for Town Hall in which she “joked” that she wants Meghan McCain to be murdered first if people start shooting the families of Republican Senators. Before you start thinking that Fox finally decided it’s against comments about killing someone (after a long history of condoning them) consider Coulter’s cozy, chummy visit as the top story on Hannity last night.
Read moreBill O'Reilly, Adam Carolla Spread Homophobic Paranoia
After Bill O'Reilly made his infamous "thumping the bible" comment, there was speculation that his position on same sex marriage had evolved; especially given that he defended his comment even after receiving blowback from the religious right. He was validated by his Fox pals including Megyn Kelly who claimed that Bill wasn't being pejorative because he's an awesome advocate for religious freedom. So was it his concern for religious freedom or an attempt to assuage the "thumpers" when Bill attacked "fascist" gay students who want a Catholic college chaplain removed from campus for his anti-gay comments? And in what might appear to be another effort to play to those whom he offended, under the rubric of religious liberty, he later agreed with Adam Carolla that same sex marriage will lead to gays demanding that they get church weddings - a meme pimped by opponents of marriage equality. Evolution? Maybe not so much!
Read moreO’Reilly: Our Only Hope Is For Republicans To Take The Senate And ‘We’ Hold The House In 2014
“Independent” Bill O’Reilly explicitly advocated that Americans vote Republican. In fact, he suggested that it’s the only hope for America if Republicans take the Senate “and we hold the House.” We? We? Could Fox’s partisanship be any more blatant?
Read moreBret Baier Uses Hate Group Head, Tony Perkins, To Attack Episcopal Priest Over "Not Adhering" To Scripture
On Easter Sunday, President Obama attended a service given at a Washington Episcopal Church. During the sermon, Rev. Luis Leon criticized what he felt is intolerance on the part of leaders of the religious right. As the mouthpiece for the religious right, Fox News wasted no time in bashing the priest, the pro-gay views of the Episcopal Church, and the president for not publicly denouncing the priest. While there was the requisite whining on official Fox opinion (The Five), official "fair & balanced" Fox News launched a propaganda fest with Megyn Kelly doing three segments which validated the religious right. Even Fox's flagship "fair & balanced" "news" show, Special Report got in on the act. What made it even more interesting is that Bret Baier, as did Megyn Kelly, use commentary from Tony Perkins, the head of the hate group, The Family Research Council in order to Rev. Leon and the gay affirming beliefs of the Episcopal Church. It's ironic that Fox, in trying to prove liberal intolerance, is embracing the theology of hate!
Read moreBill O'Reilly Slyly Validates Crowley's Welfare-Mother Conspiracy Theory
Yesterday, I posted about how Monica Crowley made the outlandish - and entirely unsubstantiated - suggestion the night before that women on welfare have children in order to up their relief money. Last night, Bill O'Reilly slyly validated her accusation - and yet kept his own fingerprints off it - by choosing to read a supportive email in his brief email segment at the end of the show.
Read moreBreaking News: Dr. Carson Withdraws As Johns Hopkins Commencement Speaker
Sean Hannity will almost surely be on another racial rant tonight in the wake of the news that his GOP savior, Dr. Benjamin Carson, has withdrawn as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins University. Hannity will almost certainly avoid any of the personal responsibility Carson calls for in others and adopt a full-fledged racial victimhood he supposedly admires Carson for rejecting. In fact, Carson is still playing the victim.
Read moreFox News Contributor Sandy Rios Says "Powerful Jewish Forces" Trying To Ruin America
Whenever anybody, anywhere, says anything critical of Christianity, Fox News goes into full freak out mode. Talking heads across the spectrum of Fox "news" and opinion explode with Christian victimhood over whatever "outrage" is perceived. Yet one of their own contributors appears to harbor some serious anti-Semitic feelings and that doesn't seem to be a problem.
