Sean Hannity will almost surely be on another racial rant tonight in the wake of the news that his GOP savior, Dr. Benjamin Carson, has withdrawn as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins University. Hannity will almost certainly avoid any of the personal responsibility Carson calls for in others and adopt a full-fledged racial victimhood he supposedly admires Carson for rejecting. In fact, Carson is still playing the victim.
From the Washington Post:
Given all the national media surrounding my statements as to my belief in traditional marriage, I believe it would be in the best interests of the students for me to voluntarily withdraw as your commencement speaker this year,” Carson said in an e-mail to the dean of the Johns Hopkins medical school, Paul Rothman. “My presence is likely to distract from the true celebratory nature of the day. Commencement is about the students and their successes, and it is not about me.”
Actually, as Carson surely knows by now, the problem was not so much his belief in traditional marriage as it was his likening same-sex marriage to perversion. In his own apology to Johns Hopkins a few days ago, Carson acknowledged that he used "poorly chosen words" and that "there are much less offensive ways to make that point." Furthermore, the Johns Hopkins students didn't just object to his comments about same-sex marriage. They also objected to Carson using his neurosurgeon's platform for political purposes and didn't want that kind of partisanship at their commencement.
The Post also reported:
But even in bowing out, Carson struck a defiant tone, saying he is the victim of the brand of political correctness he has spoken out against in recent months and used to build a political brand for himself.
“Someday in the future, it is my hope and prayer that the emphasis on political correctness will decrease and we will start emphasizing rational discussion of differences so we can actually resolve problems and chart a course that is inclusive of everyone,” Carson said in his e-mail.
The reality, as Carson would be well advised to learn as soon as possible, is that he made his own bed here. His so-called apologies had the ring of inauthenticity and at the same time, he was sucking up to Fox News. If Dr. Carson truly wants to have a "rational discussion" that "actually resolve(s) problems" and is "inclusive of everyone" then he'd be well-served to put some distance between himself and Fox News - literally and/or figuratively. Otherwise, he'd better learn how to man up and take some personal responsibility for playing with their flames.
By the way, so far, Fox seems to be doing its best to ignore this news about its 2016 presidential hopeful savior of America.
How it must gall the extreme RW loons, of which Carson is apparently a living, breathing cog.

Carson refuses to address that. He’s gotten numerous attempts trying to ask him about it. Note that the article also has a link to him telling Mark Levin that white people are instantly racists if they’re not a conservative.
The only difference between Ben Carson and Sarah Palin is that Carson has some control over his mouth on the air. But not enough to keep it from adding up.
You’d think he could speak up to deny those, but he won’t. I’ve seen his Facebook and Twitter pages, he’s being asked about both rumours- A lot. And what was it Fox News said about silence being equal to a confession? Oh, wait- IOKIYAR.
