Bill O'Reilly, Dennis Miller (Who Has Gay Friends) Mock Proposed Gay Infertility Insurance Coverage

Posted by Priscilla -26.60pc on April 12, 2013 · Flag

Along with thumping the bible, those who are opposed to marriage equality are obsessed with the mechanics of gay sex which they feel is unnatural. (Yeah, I know...) So after the Murdoch owned Weekly Standard published an article about proposed California legislation that mandates insurance companies to cover the cost of infertility for gay couples, the right wing media world lit up with homophobic outrage. While the bill appears to be an attempt to provide equal health care treatment for gays, those who are upset (and judging from the lack of coverage in the CA media, it's not Californians) feel that it rewards those who aren't having sex the way that Jesus wants them to. So who better to provide more stupid commentary about this than Dennis "some of my best friends are gay" Miller and Bill O'Reilly who, despite speculation that his views on gay issues have evolved, seems to be devolving back to his old school homophobia.

Earlier in the week, O'Reilly described gay students, protesting what they feel is insulting, homophobic commentary by the George Washington University Catholic chaplain, as "fascists." He also seemed to validate Adam Carolla's belief that after gays get marriage equality they will try to make life difficult for Christian clergy by demanding that the marriages take place in churches with objections to gay marriage. On Wednesday night's Factor, his "Miller Time" segment, with washed up comedian Dennis Miller, one of his four equally washed up, homophobic, misogynistic, and racially insensitive backstreet boyz (Greg Gutfeld, Adam Carolla, and Bernard McGuirk), focused on this latest right wing faux controversy. Miller, who in March, mocked "chunky lesbians who don't need to attract men," didn't disappoint.

Right out of the box, O'Reilly provided his requisite misinformation by trying to paint California as deeply in debt with the comment that California "owes $164 billion, money that it will never be able to repay." While he might be citing this as a deficit figure, the truth is that California's budget now has a surplus. The only $164 billion I found is the amount borrowed by the San Diego school district.

He then claimed that there is a proposal to fund infertility treatments for gay couples which isn't technically correct because the proposed law required insurance companies, not the taxpayers, to fund the treatments. He told Miller that despite California's "financial chaos" (not true) and high taxes, "here was have another, from a San Francisco assemblyman, you know if you have infertility payments for heteros you gotta have them for gays...it's never gonna end." (His words to Carolla about overreaching gays).

Miller accused Gov. Brown of being a "moron." (Pot meet Kettle?) He then tried to defend his homophobia with homophobia: "Everybody knows I have gay friends, I have gay friends who are married, I'm for gay marriage...can I get a day off if I'm gay. Can I just get a gay day off?" O'Reilly laughed uproariously as Miller screamed "my gay friends don't talk about gay as much as straight white guys who have never been (expletive? deleted) talk about gay." Bill laughed when he mentioned the "bleeping" of Miller's comment.

In reading the bill, which excludes IVF, it appears that it is nothing more than a requirement that insurance provide "coverage for the treatment of infertility shall be offered and provided without discrimination on the basis of age, ancestry, color, disability, domestic partner status, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation."

At present, infertility treatments would not be covered for infertile lesbians or for surrogacy for a gay male couple. The bill appears to change that. No big whoop, except for the Jesus loving, homo hating crowd that Bill O'Reilly, despite his evolution on marriage equality, still can't quit!

Eventually one of these days Dennis might actually say something funny. In the meantime America continues to wait…and wait.

That’s a good point, Jan- The only two legit and immediate threats to the US are North Korea and the obstruction of the Republican party. So why are those the only two things Fox News doesn’t feel fit to tell their viewers about?

Well, we know why they won’t tell people about the Republicans, but North Korea’s become a serious enough threat that a lot of Southeast Asia is getting ready to stop them- And Obama will send US aid if we need to.

Yet, what does Fox News talk about? Friggin’ Iran.

Bildo was a bit shaken by the harsh reaction he received in response to his comments on gay marriage. The bible thumpers who make up a large segment of his core audience were not pleased. Bildo will curry their favor once again with heavy doses of homophobia.

Bellowing Billow still has to appeal to his Archie Bunker audience. The much bigger concern should be the Bellicosity of North Korea’s Kim Jong Un. I think it’s time for Bellowing Billow to cut him down to size.
What say you Junior???
