Yesterday, Fox’s Media Buzz panel openly discussed how Mike Huckabee used his Fox News show to promote his potential presidential candidacy. Host Howard Kurtz even suggested that Huckabee's departure announcement was “kind of like an infomercial.”

While Fox News and its BFF Rudy Giuliani blame the deaths of two New York City police officers on Mayor Bill de Blasio, President Obama and black leaders for supposedly creating a climate of police hatred, they conveniently forget how firefighters blamed Rudy Giuliani for directly causing the deaths of 121 firefighters on 9/11. With good reason.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has announced he’ll challenge John Boehner for Speaker of the House in the new Congress. Predictably, Gohmert made his announcement on Fox News. Just as predictably, the announcement was part of a softball interview.

Missouri lawmaker Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D) – who made an inflammatory tweet about white privilege – is Fox News’ latest pawn in its never-ending mission to suggest that the only real race problem in this country comes from racist African Americans.

The level of Fox News Christian hypocrisy is stunning. While they feel it's just fine and dandy to bash those who are don't believe in Fox's version of Christianity, they get their nice, white Christian panties in a bunch over a Newsweek article which calls out Christians for their hypocrisy in cherry picking bible verses in order to suit right wing ideology. Tuesday's Fox & Friends got their patented persecuted Christian vibe on with yet another whine about how nasty Newsweek, OMG, "bashed" the Bible. Thursday's Fox & Friends rang in the New Year with a continuation of that whine!

Last week, Fox News spent the least amount of time covering slain NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos’s funeral than either CNN or MSNBC. Today, Fox repeated its dis with its lack of coverage of murdered NYPD Officer Wenjian Liu.

In Fox News' pantheon of scary black men, Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama, who accrued much of his scariness from his association with the pastor, top the chart. Ever since Obama's 2008 campaign, Fox News has used Rev. Wright, whose "God damn America" video was played 24 and 7 on Fox, to denigrate Obama at every turn. As late as 2012, Fox wall of genius Steve Doocy predicted that Wright would derail Obama's re-election. Flash forward to 2014 and Fox News is still playing the scary, black Jeremiah Wright card  in order to attack the president and, as a special bonus, defend GOP Rep. Steve Scalise who palled around with white supremacists. 

Sarah Palin responded to the tidal wave of criticism over her supposedly inspirational Facebook post showing her son standing on the family dog just the way we’d predict: by attacking President Obama, PETA, Ellen DeGeneres and, of course, liberals in general. Classy.

Mike Huckabee announced tonight that this was his last night hosting the Huckabee show on Fox. The reason, of course, is his contemplated presidential run. However, chances are that if he does run, he’ll merely substitute his paid gig for free publicity.

Remember when Fox portrayed President Obama as a socialist who hates the rich? Well, with the news that President and Mrs. Obama went to a high-end restaurant on New Year’s, suddenly he’s a hateful elitist.
