Santorum Resurfaces To Lament Sequester Cuts to the Military
Is Rick Santorum, booted-out Senator and failed would-be Republican candidate, applying to become a Fox pundit like Herman Cain? Judging by his performance On the Record Friday night, on the subject of the sequester, he should maybe consider applying to manage a pizzeria instead. He didn’t seem to know whether to mock President Obama for threatening a Y2K or a Mayan apocalypse, as some conservatives have, or threaten us with horrible consequences himself. He stressed how willing the Republicans had been to work with the President on some kind of solution (of course, they're all saying that now). And he lamented that “entitlements” were left untouched while “essential” programs like the military took deep cuts.

Apparently, Neil Cavuto didn’t need an actual sequester to happen before he could tell us what he "saw." In a Cavuto on Business program that was taped yesterday, he told us all about the lack of problems from the sequester – even though today is the first full day of it and the first full workday is Monday. Those who predict otherwise, he declared, are "bit fat liars so far."

Neil Cavuto likened the White House to gangsters Thursday (2/28/13) for "threatening" Bob Woodward. He began by saying, “What I do know is that for the administration that has been terrifying us, well, the wheels have already come off.

On yesterday’s Your World, Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) and Neil Cavuto debated the sequester. Cavuto began by saying, “Rep. Rangel blamed Republicans for the sequester. ...Congressman, you know I love you dearly, but that sounds idiotic. But I’m not saying you’re idiotic… just blaming Republicans is idiotic.”
Read moreHannity Still Making Bogus, Unsubstantiated Racial Attacks On Keith Ellison
Sean Hannity’s widdle feewings must really have been smarting ever since Rep. Keith Ellison smacked him down as a yellow journalist the other night. So once again, Hannity got "revenge" by, essentially, proving Ellison right. You may recall that last night, Hannity “asked” if Ellison was the black equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan. Tonight, Hannity “wondered” if Ellison was a secret racist who hid his true feelings in order to get elected. Ironically, the very criteria Hannity used for his accusations – Ellison’s past associations - are far more damning of his own bigotry. Unlike Ellison, Hannity has never renounced any of the many bigots he has palled around with and in some cases still does.

In case you missed it, Bob Woodward has gotten into a war of words with the White House and, as far as I can tell, it’s not going all that well for him. So why on earth he chose to appear on the Hannity show last night suggests he cares a lot more about – well, I’m not sure what, exactly, but whatever it is it ain’t journalism or integrity. Among other indicators that this once venerable reporter has gone off the rails: his claim that he never said he was threatened by the White House (after being ridiculed for having implied exactly that), going on to imply that he had in fact been threatened and, worst of all, cozying up to Hannity’s contention that President Obama had not been properly vetted by the press (including his association with Bill Ayers) even though Woodward had previously smacked down the same Hannity assertion on his show right after Obama’s re-election.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Blames Media For Gay Marriage Acceptance!
Who knew that the media was responsible for the growing acceptance of gay marriage!!! But that's what Bill O'Reilly says, so it must be true. Some might say that the growing acceptance of gay marriage is due to society's realization that gays are vital and vibrant members of the community and that their marriages don't have any effect on "traditional marriages." There is also the demographic reality that the socially liberal younger generation is far more accepting of gay marriage than their elders who still cling to what is seen as baseless bigotry rooted in archaic norms. There's also the issue of justice which, for many, factors into their view that gay marriage is a civil rights issue related to fairness. But for Bill O'Reilly, it's the media that's to blame for this increasing tolerance. Oh, the horror, the horror!
Read moreBill O'Reilly Says Anti-Catholic Media 'Worships' Abortion
Bill O'Reilly doesn't like the mainstream media because of perceived liberal bias. (Oh, the irony!) And like so many in the right wing, he never wastes an opportunity to bash it. Such was the case, last night, when devout Catholic Bill, after claiming that he's not an apologist for the Catholic Church, proceeded to attack the mainstream media for how they covered the Pope's resignation. Il Papa Bill was joined by fellow Catholic, Sister Mary Laura Ingraham who helped him turn reality into a holy whinefest complete with Bill's not so papal bull. And ya know what's behind this media bias? Abortion worship! Bet ya didn't know that!!!
Read moreWhy It Was No Surprise Hannity Would Make Racial Attacks on Keith Ellison
No veteran Sean Hannity watcher should have been surprised that when he struck back at Rep. Keith Ellison, after their on-air confrontation went viral earlier in the week, he made it racial. In trying to paint Ellison as a black bigot and anti-Semite, Hannity "asked" if Ellison is the black equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan. But Hannity has a very long history of race baiting and religious bigotry, including those kinds of attacks on Ellison.

Sean Hannity struck back at Rep. Keith Ellison – whose confrontation with Hannity over his brand of yellow journalism went viral this week – by pretty much proving Ellison’s point. First, Hannity dragged out his and Fox’s favorite black boogeyman, Louis Farrakhan, and then attacked Ellison for having once been a supporter. He even suggested Ellison was like a black version of the Ku Klux Klan.
