The portrayal of African-Americans as brutish, violent thugs didn't die with the advent of Civil Rights. It seems to be alive and well on Fox News which loves the narrative of the "scary black man" made famous by Fox's Aryan beauty (Santa and Jesus were white don't ya know) Megyn Kelly during the faux Fox controversy over how scary Black Panthers weren't brought to justice by scary black Eric Holder. Fox fomented more fear of scary blacks with its obsessive coverage of "the knock out game," another faux Fox outrage. On this morning's Fox & Friends, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was able to juxtapose imagery of uncontrollable black people with a very sympathetic approach to poor officer Wilson who is very scared of those uncontrollable blacks.
