Donald Trump visited the Hannity show tonight. The two mostly discussed politics – with a good dose of “regular guy” Sean Hannity boasting about his palsiness with Trump. But after Hannity dropped a mention about being on The Apprentice, he got to the matter that has been so near and dear to his heart: the Nevada ranch conflict he and Fox have been inflaming at every turn.

Yesterday, April 15^th, Greg Gutfeld opened The Five with a twofer: whining that he pays too much money in taxes and smearing those less fortunate with an asinine joke that he envies them. Of course, the real payoff was his underlying boast that he makes so much and he's worth so much more than most others.

In addition to worshipping the Second Amendment, the Christian right are now huge supporters of the First Amendment's freedom of religion thing as it pertains to their opposition to the ACA's birth control mandate. Freedom of speech was frequently invoked in the recent Fox abetted controversy over objections, by the Muslim community, to a film critical of Islam and the awarding of a Brandeis honorary degree to an anti-Islamic activist. But now that First Amendment rights have been utilized by atheists, Fox & Friends' Elisabeth Hasselbeck is asking if this right should be suspended during religious holidays. LOL, her predecessor, Gretchen Carlson once said that she supports freedom of speech, except at Christmas. The more things change....

As we know, Bill O'Reilly is quite the polymath: TV pundit, author, champion of traditional morality, scourge of evil doers, America's daddy who is "watching out for us," and great theologian. And as a dispenser of religious wisdom, we are occasionally treated to O'Reilly's deep thoughts about how the tides go in and out and how Jesus guided evolution. Last night, the Holy Ghost inspired Bill and the homophobic Pastor Robert Jeffress (who thinks Catholicism is a "fake religion that represents the genius of Satan") discussed the afterlife and what is necessary, in this life, to get on board the heavenly express which, for Bill, is all about accountability. Oh, the irony! And, as the saying goes, "be careful what you wish for."

Fox News sent reporter Griff Jenkins to the Bundy ranch in Nevada. But Jenkins’ “reporting” seems to amount to touring the property with a government-hating Bundy family friend and helping to promote a fact-free Bundy claim that the feds may have killed Bundy cows and thrown them in a mass grave. Those "America loving" folks over at Fox Nation are now officially on board with treason. Their latest top story is called, "The Case for a Little Sedition." It likens Nevada's scofflaw rancher, Cliven Bundy, to Gandhi and Thoreau. Seriously.

Another night, another several rounds of Hannity deliberately throwing gasoline on the tense conflict between Hannity’s latest BFF, law-breaking rancher Cliven Bundy, and the federal government he’s been mooching off of for decades. Tonight, Hannity suggested that the federal government might kill Bundy and not-so-subtly suggested that his son should be there to shoot any feds who might raid the ranch.

Last night, as Sean Hannity closed his show, he made a startling suggestion that no other Fox News show is truly conservative.

Now that the Bureau of Land Management has backed off its confrontation with law-breaking rancher Cliven Bundy, Fox News has turned to a new target for its ginned-up hostility: Nevada's Democratic Senator and Majority Leader Harry Reid. Yesterday, Fox promoted a baseless conspiracy theory suggesting that Reid is somehow orchestrating the move to evict Bundy's cows from federal land in order to benefit from a solar energy deal instead.Today, Fox Nation has taken aim at Reid with a headline quoting the lawless Bundy, "He needs to be kicked out of office." Predictably, the murderous group of readers there are salivating for the chance to kill Reid now. (H/T Aria)
