Just when you think that Fox News hosts couldn't get any more inane, along comes a comment that disabuses you of that notion. In what has to be one of the most extraordinary WTF!? moments of Fox News "news" reporting, alleged "news" anchor Bill Hemmer, in discussing whether or not Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 will be found, said the following: “So, what, it took us 100 years to find the Titanic. It took us 2,000 years to find Noah’s Ark. Do we ever find flight 370?" First, the story of Noah's Ark, part of a Middle Eastern origin story, has no basis in science. Second, claims that the Ark was found are as bogus as Fox News. Video after the jump.

On the same day that Mitt Romney lit into President Obama over foreign policy (despite a noticeable lack of credentials of his own), former Romney advisor Richard Grenell just happened to appear in a Hannity show discussion about the missing Malaysian airplane. There, Grenell focused on finding creative ways to use the situation to smear President Obama.

Nothing that President Obama does will please the GOP. You would think that the number of deportations, done by his administration, would make them happy - particularly after the president of La Raza, an immigration activist organization loathed by the anti-immigration right wing, referred to Obama as the "deporter-in-chief." But rather than credit the President with pursuing all those brown people who are "invading" our country, the anti-immigration is claiming that the deportation numbers don't count because of where the deportations are taking place. So it's no surprise that Fox News, which never wastes an opportunity to smear the President and play the fear of "illegals" card, is advancing this newest claim. This morning, Brian Kilmeade hosted the anti-immigration Kansas Secretary of State, Kris Kobach, for more smears and fear.

Fox & Friends turned to a guy who recently endorsed assassinating President Obama for help in baseless fear mongering that Al Qaeda may well have seized the missing Malaysian airplane in an “extraordinarily professional” terror operation. Host Brian Kilmeade chimed in to characterize the hypothetical terrorism operation a “success.” Even as the disclaimers about not knowing what really happened were tossed out, Kilmeade and Scheuer deliberately and repeatedly suggested terrorists are involved.

Fox’s Your World may have taken fake ObamaCare reporting to new heights - or lows - when it discussed the results of a recent Bankrate.com poll of people without health insurance. The poll that found 56% of uninsured adults plan to get health insurance, while 34% plan to continue being uninsured, and the other 10% either don’t know or refused to answer. Neil Cavuto spun it as though the numbers were reversed. And that was just the beginning of the selective editing of facts.

After he was thwarted in his attempt to hype terrorism as the cause of the Malaysian airplane disappearance, Sean Hannity turned to a panel of political guests  - with not an aviation or national security credential to be found among them – and used the story to advance his anti-Obama political agenda.

Sean Hannity so wants to blame terrorists for the missing Malaysian 777 airplane! Not only would that be an excuse to ramp up his hate mongering against Islam, it would also be a likely opportunity to attack President Obama as somehow weak on terrorism and, therefore, at fault. Unfortunately for Hannity, his experts insisted on sticking with the facts.

In case you were wondering how Fox News was going to use the missing Malaysian airplane mystery against President Obama, Fox’s John Bolton shot what I believe was the first salvo of exploitation yesterday. According to Bolton, Obama should toss aside international protocol and muscle his way in, diplomatic relations be damned. Why the U.S. ought to do that was much less clear.

In the bizarro Fox/right wing world, Christians are constantly under attack by the evil forces of the Obama administration. Meanwhile, in the real world, conservative Christian churches still enjoy their nice tax exemptions and the freedom to preach their gospel of exclusion without any interference from that nasty gay agenda loving government.
