Cavuto Does His Part To Discredit And Diminish President Obama's Climate Change Speech
Neil Cavuto opened yesterday’s Your World by focusing on President Obama’s plan to fight climate change. Fox viewers watching earlier in the day, when America Live pre-empted Obama’s speech in favor of a climate-change denier, already knew what to think. But for anyone who missed it, Cavuto hosted his go-to-guy for climate change denial, Joe Bastardi.

Along with being super-duper Christians, the Fox "friends" are super-duper patriots who take every opportunity to show just how patriotic they are. And this morning, Steve Doocy did just that in promoting Dennis Prager's book about how the rest of the world would benefit from adapting awesome American values. And who better to espouse American values than the uber right wing Prager who recently opined that America doesn't need breakfast programs for school kids because this"enables and encourages, irresponsible, disinterested, and incompetent parenting" by those who really can afford to feed their children." It's not surprising that Prager, who wants the US to be "feared" and who actually - true story - believes that the 10 Commandments are the solution for the world's problems, would be warmly embraced by Fox & Friends. This morning, in pushing his book, "American Values, Why the World Needs Them to Triumph," he informed us that because Pres. Obama is an un-American leftist, he's just not that into kicking global ass. You just can't make this stuff up!
Read moreHannity Uses SCOTUS Voting Rights Act Ruling To Racially Demagogue About Black Voter Misconduct
Sean Hannity, Fox News’ race-baiter in residence, didn’t just approve of the Supreme Court’s ruling that struck down a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, he used the occasion to racially fear monger about African American voters via one of his favorite obsessions, the completely irrelevant New Black Panther Party. He was joined in his effort by Erik Rush, who piled on by suggesting that the VRA was little more than an enabler of Obama-administration approved voter fraud.

Poor Todd Starnes. He's already suffering from the vapors over immigration reform. Also the assault on Christians and the racial plight of white people. Now, thanks to today's Supreme Court ruling striking down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), he's got the specter of gay marriage to contend with. So far, he's handling it with his usual aplomb.

Remember how last week, Megyn Kelly cut away from President Obama’s speech in Berlin to report on a Tea Party protest? Well, yesterday, she did it again, only this time, she interrupted Obama’s climate change speech to host Chris Horner, a fossil fuels lackey to attack climate change science.

Fox News contributor Allen West hasn't even declared a primary challenge to Senator Marco Rubio yet but his colleague, Todd Starnes, apparently about to be overcome with the vapors at the thought of the immigration reform bill, has issued his endorsement. Apparently, it's not enough that Fox is helping West get publicity, cred and dough by paying him as a contributor.
Read moreFox & Friends Pimps Anti-Abortion Priest Frank Pavone's Crusade Against Nancy Pelosi
As a media conduit for the Catholic Church, it isn't surprising that Fox News is promoting the latest endeavor of the shamelessly self-promoting, anti-abortion Catholic priest and Randall Terry pal, Fr. Frank Pavone, head of an order of priests who exist solely for the purpose of assisting in efforts to end abortion and harassing women who have them. But Pavone's zealotry doesn't seem to be a problem for Fox which warmly embraced him during the Schiavo Fox media circus. Fox also provided him with an extensive platform with which to smear the Canadian health care system over a case involving a terminally ill child and to brag about his mythical "rescue" of the baby. Pavone and his hosts also pushed the right wing agitprop that the alleged Canadian medical neglect was what will happen with Obamacare. Sunday, the "friends" validated his crusade against Rep. Nancy Pelosi whose Catholicism he is challenging. The Catholic Church can no longer burn uppity women. But the presence of Pavone, on Sunday's Fox & Friends shows that the "fair & balanced" Fox News is their go to place for anathemas!
Read moreFox’s Dr. Ablow: America Fascinated With Wallenda’s Grand Canyon Cross Because ‘We’re All Addicted’ To Facebook And Entitlements
Fox’s crackpot psychiatrist, Dr. Keith Ablow, visited the O’Reilly Factor to explain the big ratings for Nik Wallenda’s high-wire crossing of the Grand Canyon. “Is it the rubbernecking syndrome?” guest host Laura Ingraham asked, likening it to drivers’ fascination for accidents they pass on a road. Not surprisingly, Ablow came up with an, er, unusual theory and he used the occasion to take a gratuitous slap at our social safety nets.

Senator Ted Cruz appeared on Hannity last night, ostensibly to discuss a key amendment in the immigration reform bill that will now proceed to the Senate floor and likely pass. But, near the end of the segment, Cruz made it clear that his real purpose was to campaign for viewers to join him in his fundraising crusade against the bill.
Read moreMark Fuhrman Throws A Wrench In Hannity’s Zimmerman Defense: ‘He Didn’t Have Many Injuries’
I posted earlier today about the jaw-dropping racial insensitivity of Fox bringing on Mark Fuhrman (again) to analyze the George Zimmerman trial. As it turns out, it was at least a Fox News twofer for Fuhrman today. After appearing on America Live earlier, he also appeared on Hannity tonight. However, whereas Fuhrman has in the past emphasized Martin’s misbehavior, he made a point tonight of casting doubt on Zimmerman’s self-defense story. But not to worry Zimmerman sympathizers. Hannity was as staunch a defender as ever.
