Fox Ditches Obama Speech In Favor Of Tea Party Protests

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on June 19, 2013 · Flag

President Obama gave a speech this morning (U.S. time) at the Brandenburg gate in Berlin. But Fox, in a show of preference if ever there was one, cut away in the middle. Why? To discuss a Tea Party protest.

After covering part of the president's speech, host Bill Hemmer broke in to say, stirringly, "Where else do you speak about freedom but the intersection of communism and democracy, at the heart of Berlin." But then, after summarizing Obama's speech, he tossed it to co-host Martha MacCallum.

MacCallum said, "Today, back in Washington, Tea Party-ers are taking on the IRS in D.C. They are not backing down." She showed video of a massive 2010 protest (suggesting today's was much smaller) before adding, "They want action on the IRS... Fair and balanced coming up."

Plus, there was a teaser from Hemmer asking, "What caused this plane to go down several years ago?"

Video below and hat tip to Media Matters.

Members of the Tea Party are nothing more than angry poor losers. If John McCain would have won in ’08 they would not exist today. After eight years of the disastrous Bush/Cheney administration the Republican name was in ashes. In order to keep the party together and most importantly keep the money coming in they just re-branded themselves with a marketing gimmick. Never once did we hear a peep from them while Bush was exploding the deficit. Suddenly Obama is sworn in and we have a national crisis.

Just because they love to praise the Constitution and romanticize the memory of the Founding Fathers by dressing up like Benjamin Franklin doesn’t make them any more patriotic in the same way if I dressed up like Groucho Marx would make me a comedian.

Tea Party members that I know who claim not to be associated with the Republican Party, I’ve asked them what issues do you disagree with the R’s on and what issues do you agree with the D’s on, if you are truly independent from only having a right wing agenda? Usually the only feedback I get is their hatred for the President and the Democratic Party, so it’s easy to come to the conclusion that their masquerade isn’t fooling anyone.

@mj: Yep- That guy. I call him the East Coast JT because literally the only way they don’t line up is where Ready ranked at this point in his criminal career.

Ready was #1 with a bullet when he held his minor office but had all the Republicans inexplicably answering to him. Some groups, such as the SPLC even went as far as to say his ability to lead and recruit put him on par to outright start a war over race.

Smith, on the other hand… Whether or not he’s the new #1 is debatable, and his name’s only on the list because the “worse for a fact” names were all killed by the cops, or one of the counter groups they created.

There’s also the matter of what their men are saying they did and the Feds can’t prove, or someone else took the fall for. Smith is undeniably dangerous, he’s definitely in the current top five. But Ready’s nicer FBI accusations trump the best Smith’s men can come up with embellishing his actions.

But does that change the fact that they’re both proven White Supremacy leaders who are/were considered the most dangerous men in the country, and the Tea Party still felt fit to give them political power? All it does, IMHO, is make a case for which state’s dumber.

@ Aria Prescott: “Luzerne County, PA is led by one of the most dangerous white supremacists in the country, wanna guess how he get elected?”

Whoa — you talking about this guy?

http://www.sabinabecker.com/media/teabagger-nazi.jpg . . . ’cause I just passed that recollection to a clown over at PoliticusUSA.com who claimed there “never has been a connection between the tea party and the KKK”

“But I’m sure Richard is gonna point out that he gave himself a stereotypical Latin name to try the old ‘I’m Latin, and they accept me!’.”

Can’t blame Little Ricky — it worked for Marco “big gulp” Rubio and Ted “Canuck” Cruz . . .

@ MJ: Well, that and that bloggers who were sick of their “We’re so peaceful!” line began pointing out that six chapters are led by major figures in the NNSP branch of the skinheads.

And two of these chapters, they elected the guy into office. Luzerne County, PA is led by one of the most dangerous white supremacists in the country, wanna guess how he get elected?

Let’s not even touch that the party is full of black blocs, copkillers, rapists, and traitors.

But I’m sure Richard is gonna point out that he gave himself a stereotypical Latin name to try the old “I’m Latin, and they accept me!”. Newsflash, Rich- I’ve checked out Tea Party rallies. Minorities are only welcome when they need a photo of them next to someone who isn’t white, and even then, only as long as it takes to get it.

Oh, for bonus points: One of the ones I showed up at was visiting family in Phoenix. When I showed up, Joe Arpaio was introducing the next speaker- The infamous (and thankfully now dead) JT Ready, who at the time was the national leader of the NNSP, and listed by every hate group directory as the most dangerous white supremacist in the free world.

Read that last paragraph again. Really let it sink in.

@ Richard Perez: “Who wants to listen to a lying oppressor who has ZERO credibility at home and on the world stage . . .”

Agreed, Little Ricky — but George W. Bush isn’t the subject of this thread.

“Hey visitor 55 why do you call them Tea baggers?”

They call themselves that, Little Ricky:

@ Aria Prescott: The teabaggers are back, alright — ’cause their founders/sponsors, the Kochsucker Brothers, have the time/money/energy to spend on them once again.

They didn’t in 2012; they were a little busy trying to get their fellow one percenter, Mitt Romney, into the White House. That’s why teabagger events were so few and far between from mid-2011 ’til now . . .

This sounds pretty good and practical to me. Where do I signed up?

OUR MISSION

The Tea Party Patriots’ mission is to restore America’s founding principles of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
OUR CORE PRINCIPLES

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY means not overspending, and not burdening our children and grandchildren with our bills. In the words of Thomas Jefferson: “the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity [is] swindling futurity on a large scale.” A more fiscally responsible government will take fewer taxes from our paychecks.

CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED GOVERNMENT means power resides with the people and not with the government. Governing should be done at the most local level possible where it can be held accountable. America’s founders believed that government power should be limited, enumerated, and constrained by our Constitution. Tea Party Patriots agree. The American people make this country great, not our government.

FREE MARKET ECONOMICS made America an economic superpower that for at least two centuries provided subsequent generations of Americans more opportunities and higher standards of living. An erosion of our free markets through government intervention is at the heart of America’s current economic decline, stagnating jobs, and spiraling debt and deficits. Failures in government programs and government-controlled financial markets helped spark the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. Further government interventions and takeovers have made this Great Recession longer and deeper. A renewed focus on free markets will lead to a more vibrant economy creating jobs and higher standards of living for future generations.

Who wants to listen to a lying oppressor who has ZERO credibility at home and on the world stage as evidenced by the paltry turn out in Germany. Hey visitor 55 why do you call them Tea baggers? Nobody is laughing at that anymore. Are you some kind of comedian – what do you have against good LAW ABIDING citizens?

I read there were only 5000 to 10,000 compared to the 250,000 who turned out for Jon Stewart in 2010 or the 90,000, or so, that came to see Glen Beck back then.

Fux Noise policy is that President Obama is not allowed to speak uninterrupted for more than three minutes in any one segment. To allow more risks the remote possibility that a few of the sheep viewers might question whether he is the Marxist Socialist Muslim Kenyan radical that Fux says he is.

Oh, the Tea Party’s back, after shutting most of their chapters down because no one cared about what they had to say? How droll… and I suppose the police were there to mercilessly beat/gas them for talking bad about the government, like they do Occupiers…

Oh, wait, badmouthing the government is IOKIYAR. To the point where R can show up armed and talk about insurrection, and the cops will even forget they’re in DC.

Yeah, I was listening on XM radio when they cut away – and then to have them use the time to pimp the tea party protest. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised but it definitely pissed me off. It was completely disrespectful to the President and to their viewers/listeners.

And this surprises anyone?

Well, of course they’re going to cut away from President Obama’s speech — how else can they “reinterpret” it for their sheeple viewers?
