Geraldo Rivera Now In Line With Hyping Benghazi As Watergate
Earlier this week, I wrote about Geraldo Rivera’s reversal in the wake of reports that Fox chief Roger Ailes had ordered his mic cut during a contentious discussion in which Rivera argued that allegations against the Obama administration over “Benghazi-gate” were overblown and politically motivated. Rivera has since denied the rumor in a tweet: “Contrary to published accounts no one at Fox News ever either cut my mic or told me what to say…” But Rivera’s change of heart has been undeniable. On The O’Reilly Factor tonight, he not only joined his colleagues in criticizing the Obama administration over Benghazi, he joined in their efforts to make comparisons to Watergate.

Bill O’Reilly donned his Media Police Chief hat last night and spent several minutes going over a chart showing how much other news outlets covered Benghazi, down to the second. After his review, he trotted out Media Police Deputy Bernard Goldberg to help adjudge the usual suspects guilty. But Goldberg wasn’t quite the Fox News lackey one might have expected. In the middle of his “liberal media” complaints, he fingered Mike Huckabee for saying that Benghazi would prevent President Obama from completing his second term. “This is wishful thinking masquerading as political analysis,” Goldberg charged. Even though he hinted that he shared the same wishful thinking.

Bolling Uses Benghazi To Make Anti-Hillary Clinton Ad - And Then Offers It To The GOP
In case anyone out there is gullible enough to believe that Fox News' interest in Benghazi is about dead Americans, check out how Fox host Eric Bolling came up with an anti-Hillary Clinton ad, aired it as news on The Five and then offered it up to Republicans. In a thinly veiled attempt to pretend he wasn't being partisan, he threw Joe Biden's name into the mix. (H/T Media Matters)
Read moreEric Bolling ‘Just Asks,’ What if Sasha Or Malia Obama Or Chelsea Clinton Had Been Killed Or Injured In Benghazi
Apparently, Eric Bolling just can’t stand anyone to be more despicable than he is. So with a recent spotlight on Andrea Tantaros’ outrageous “question” about whether or not President Obama would put 15 year-old Malia Obama on birth control (now that Plan B has been approved for teen use), yesterday, Bolling suggested “we’d be asking different questions” if either of the Obama daughters or Chelsea Clinton had been killed or injured in Benghazi. Classy.
Read moreHannity Gleefully Predicts Benghazi Will Provoke Clintons Into Sabotaging Obama Administration
Of all the politicizing around Benghazi, Sean Hannity’s allegation tonight that President Obama “may just want to keep his guard up” because Hillary Clinton will sabotage him over Benghazi, in order to protect her 2016 presidential candidacy, may take the cake. At least, it’s neck in neck with Bill O’Reilly’s suggestion on Monday that Obama would bomb Syria to “wag the dog” and distract attention from Benghazi. But hey, maybe they’re both right!
Read moreAndrea Tantaros Wins The Outrageous Quote Of The Week Award
As you might have guessed from the comments, Andrea Tantaros delivered the most Outrageous Quote of the Week on Fox last week, for her statement "just wondering" if President Obama's 15 year-old daughter is going on birth control.

Sean Hannity got less than he bargained for last night when he brought on Charles Woods, father of Tyrone Woods, one of the victims at Benghazi. Although Woods has been a reliable Obama-attacker for the Hannity show before, last night, he had a sudden change of tune and turned away from Hannity’s openings to do more of the same.
Read moreTodd Starnes Gets His Persecuted Christian Story Facts Wrong - Again!
In the last couple of years, during his ongoing crusade (or is it jihad) against The Military Religious Freedom Foundation, Jesus' special BFF, Todd Starnes, made several claims about the organization which, according to the legal letters sent to Fox News, were "outright false statements portrayed as fact" and "inflammatory." While we don't know if the inaccuracies, promoted by Starnes, were the result of sloppy research or, as claimed by Mikey Weinstein's attorneys, a deliberate attempt to malign Weinstein and his group, it is apparent that Starnes continues to make factual errors, not all of them involving the MRFF. His most recent "fact," in yet another screed about persecuted Christians, is not accurate. The old adage about being entitled to one's opinions but not one's facts comes to mind! But then again, Starnes works for Fox News!
Read moreIssa’s Big Takeaway From His Big Benghazi Hearing: It Was A ‘Terrorist Attack’
Continuing Fox News’ war-on-terrorism via semantics, Darrell Issa visited On The Record last night where, when asked what he had learned at his big Benghazi “whistleblower” hearing that day, the only thing he could point to was that it had been a “terrorist attack.” (H/T Think Progress)
Read moreJon Stewart Turns Fox’s Benghazi Scandal Into The Laughing Stock It Deserves To Be
Jon Stewart got to the heart of Fox's over-heated, over-hyped coverage of the Benghazi hearings yesterday. "The denizens of Bullshit Mountain have cried wolf before," he said. Noting that after eight months of investigations, Fox and the GOP should be able to clearly state a case against the Obama administration, Stewart played a clip of Benghazi-gate cheerleader Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) unable to explain - to Fox News hosts, no less - exactly what was being covered up in the big cover up he alleged.
