Fox Nation Ignores Las Vegas Shooting!
Can you imagine the Fox Nation outrage if the Las Vegas shooting had been committed by, oh, say Black Panthers or Islamic jihadists? You can bet that this would be a big, fat all day lede which would contain the word "terror." But this act of domestic terror, committed by Second Amendment loving, government hating, Cliven Bundy supporting white Americans with white supremacist links is being ignored (as of 3:45 EDT) on Fox Nation, the place where real Americans can articulate the same kind of hatred shown by Jerad and Amanda Miller who draped that yellow Gadsen flag, so beloved by the Tea Party, over the bodies of the police men whom they shot!
Read moreGeorge Will Talks Up The ‘Coveted Status’ Of Being A Rape Victim
In his Washington Post column on Friday, Fox News contributor George Will suggested that progressivism on college campuses is worse than being coerced into non-consensual sex. Or, as he put it, being a rape victim on campus is now “a coveted status that confers privileges” and causes “victims (to) proliferate.”
Read moreJuan Williams Smacks Down ‘Craven’ Republican Attacks On Bergdahl Recovery
Juan Williams was a smidgen of bright light yesterday in a Fox News Sunday sea of vitriol over Bowe Bergdahl and the Obama administration’s deal to recover him. On a show that excluded Democrats from every interview, Williams spoke out very effectively against the tide.

Not surprisingly, we had lots of Fox News outrageousness about Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, his father and the Taliban prisoner swap. But those "fair and balanced" folks over at GOP Central also had time to smear Neil deGrasse Tyson and efforts to reduce student loan debt - while also talking up business' right to discriminate. So check out our latest nominees and help determine which one was the most outrageous.

Yesterday, Fox’s Bulls & Bears panel discussed Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s $51 billion student loan plan. The plan “would lower interest rates on most federal student loans below 4%, reducing millions of Americans’ bills by hundreds of thousands or thousands of dollars a year” according to Mother Jones. But leave it to a Fox News pundit to find a way to demonize that.

After a week of being gratuitously demonized on Fox News – and elsewhere by the right wing – it was reported yesterday that Bowe Bergdahl’s family has received death threats and is receiving security.
Read moreFox News Sunday's Bergdahl Interviews Exclude Democrats
All the interviews on Fox News Sunday today pertained to the prisoner swap of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Yet "fair and balanced" host Chris Wallace didn't seem to feel the need to interview a single Democrat. Even worse, Wallace hid the Republican credentials of his first two guests. Meanwhile, Fox News Sunday's website boasted about its "complete coverage of the Taliban prisoner swap." This is just the latest in our long - and growing - list of Fox News Sunday shows that have excluded Democratic guests.

Bill O'Reilly has said a lot of really stupid (and Islamophobic) things; but his comment about how Bowe Bergdahl's father "looks like a Muslim" will live in Fox infamy. (Meanwhile Bill O'Reilly looks like, well, you fill in the blanks.) Brian Kilmeade has said a lot of stupid (and Islamophobic) things; but his comment about how Bob Bergdahl resembles a terrorist will also live in Fox infamy. Meanwhile, among those vets who have taken to Fox News in order to denounce Bergdahl as a "deserter" or possibly a terrorist symp, is one who is quite hirsute. So I ask the question, does Justin Gerleve, Bergdahl's former squad leader look like a Muslim?
Read moreFox News Bigot Attacks Neil deGrasse Tyson For Talking About Being Racially Profiled
I’ve previously written about the bigotry and intolerance of Gavin McInnes, a regular Fox News guest. He seems to relish insulting groups of people – and Fox News keeps inviting him back. Earlier this week, McInnes attacked Cosmos host and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson for speaking out about his experiences with racial profiling.

It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to open the mail bag and dig out the mail received from people who think they are writing to Fox News. It's a virtual avalanche of correspondence - everything from oppressed Christians to oppressed patriots - all crying out for exposure on the one network they feel tells the truth. Also, in this batch, a sizable percentage of people offended by the attire - or lack thereof - of some of the Fox females.
