Jamie Colby Pushes Anti-Choice Lie: Pres. Obama Secretly Using Taxpayer Dollars For Planned Parenthood Abortions
As the mouthpiece for the anti-choice movement, "fair & balanced" Fox News has no problem advancing the lies and propaganda of those who seek to abolish reproductive rights for American women. Their coverage of the HHS birth control mandate was taken straight from the anti-choice playbook which claimed that the policy violated religious liberty and provided coverage for abortion inducing drugs - lies promoted on the official Fox "news" show, "America Live." Megyn Kelly no longer hosts the show; but that doesn't mean that the anti-choice lies and propaganda have stopped. Last week, Jamie Colby advanced the anti-choice outrage over how the Obama administration has chosen Planned Parenthood, among a number of other organizations including Catholic health agencies, to receive "Navigator Funds" to assist consumers navigate their insurance options. In so doing, she lied about a presidential Executive Order and advanced the lie that the Navigator funding secretly funds abortions. So not only was she able to smear Obama by portraying him as untrustworthy; but she was able to work in the popular Fox evil-Planned-Parenthood-does-abortions meme. Fair & balanced agitprop twofer!

Friday night, Laura Ingraham, guest hosting The O’Reilly Factor, joined her Fox News colleagues in condemning Oprah Winfrey's comments about race. Never mind that Bill O’Reilly had already devoted a Factor segment to racially policing her remarks. Friday night (8/16/13), Ingraham put on her own racial policewoman’s hat and laid down some Dos and Don’ts for how Oprah should discuss racial issues. It was the Top Story for the show.

The homophobic hate group's accusation, that Christian family values Fox News is "going gay," is certainly not supported by Fox's recent propaganda blast against a "landmark" California law which was crafted to protect transgender students from bullying and discrimination. Starting with Greg Gutfeld's mockery of the bill, Fox had four additional shows in which the hosts expressed absolute disdain for the law and, in so doing, students who benefit from it. Bathrooms were an integral part of the discussion. And now that the Christian right is whining about this law, Fox is burnishing its Christian family values creds even more by validating their concerns. This morning, Steve Doocy hosted a CA assemblyman Tim Donnelly, a wall of genius who has said that God wants us to have guns and that the new transgender rights law ensures "the right to be ogled." Steve Doocy provided warm affirmation for Donnelly's call for the bill to be repealed because, you know, it's all about, you know, sneaking peeks in bathrooms.

Read moreFox News Has Caved To The Gay Agenda?
Who knew that Fox News, the bastion of holy heterosexuality and friend to homophobic hate groups, was a tool of the insidious "gay agenda?" You can imagine my shock and horror when I ran across the Raw Story article, whilst not under the influence of any substance legal or otherwise, which reported that OMG "Fox News Is Turning Gay" and that Megyn Kelly is, as a "pro-gay advocate, a huge part of this turn to the dark side. I am chagrined and appalled that Fox News, the home for "family values" has, according to America's Survival Inc.,"contributed greatly to the growing pro-homosexual political correctness in U.S. culture" and in do doing, is contributing to the demise of this once, great Christian nation. And who knew that, according to these defenders of American morality that Fox News is "unfair, unbalanced, and afraid." (Actually Newshounds but whatever...)

Governor John Kasich (R-OH) visited Your World Thursday (8/15/13) to discuss the “need” for a balanced budget amendment. Host Neil Cavuto gushed in his introduction, “(Kasich) knows the inner workings of our budget probably better than anyone. He has single handedly turned his state around.”

It's Saturday, which means it's time for us to open up our mailbag of emails sent to us but meant for Fox News. We had a small crop this week but I think you'll find them to be quite enlightening as to what goes on - or doesn't - in the minds of the "we report, you decide" network's viewers.
Read moreFox Nation Legitimizes Ridiculous Conspiracy Theory About Obama And The Bin Laden Raid Situation Room Photo
Late last night, I posted on Addicting Info about the outlandish conspiracy theory, put forth by American Family Association's Bryan Fischer, that President Obama had not really been in the Situation Room the night the raid on Osama Bin Laden's compound went down - but had been photoshopped in. Fischer's reasoning? Obama's head looked too small, he probably would not have wanted to be there if the raid had not turned out well and, in the tin foil-y-est reasoning of all, he was shown looking up when he usually looks down on everyone. Crazy? Yes. But not too crazy for Fox Nation to cynically post about it in a way that gave it undeserved credibility.

Although the news that a Rupert Murdoch-affiiated newspaper group is under criminal investigation may grab the attention of those of us with a special interest in the Evil Empire, what is particularly noteworthy is this little sentence in The U.K. Independent's report on the investigation: "The downstream effects of a prosecution would be apocalyptic. The US authorities’ reaction would put the whole business at risk, as licences would be at risk.”
