Fox Nation Legitimizes Ridiculous Conspiracy Theory About Obama And The Bin Laden Raid Situation Room Photo

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on August 17, 2013 · Flag

Late last night, I posted on Addicting Info about the outlandish conspiracy theory, put forth by American Family Association's Bryan Fischer, that President Obama had not really been in the Situation Room the night the raid on Osama Bin Laden's compound went down - but had been photoshopped in. Fischer's reasoning? Obama's head looked too small, he probably would not have wanted to be there if the raid had not turned out well and, in the tin foil-y-est reasoning of all, he was shown looking up when he usually looks down on everyone. Crazy? Yes. But not too crazy for Fox Nation to cynically post about it in a way that gave it undeserved credibility.

Fox Nation based its post on a post about Fischer by their BFF Mediaite which, in turn, was based on a post by Right Wing Watch. But, unlike Right Wing Watch, Mediaite failed to give Fischer's rant any context - such as his utter lack of credibility - and guess what? Fox Nation picked up the post and its first two credulous paragraphs verbatim:

So it's a neat trick. If anyone questions those "America lovers" at Fox Nation (or Mediaite) for promoting such claptrap, they'll say they were merely reporting. But anyone who isn't a knee-jerk Obama hater (probably a rarity in the Fox Nation corner of the worldwide web) can see that no anti-Obama conspiracy theory is too far out to be promoted by Fox.

Maybe they can get Donald Trump to weigh in and keep it in the forefront of their public's mind a little longer. And then the Mediaite BFFs can keep the circle jerk going with another credulous post.

You can watch Fischer's rants here.

That jacket just looks big on him. Every shot of him wearing it, you can tell it’s the right size, but it just looks big. Here’s a good example:

Everyone has a shirt or jacket like that. Why we own it anyways is always a mystery. Why we wear it by choice is a bigger one.

More than two years after the event, someone comes up with this idea. Wonder how long this guy has been staring at that pic?

Just because they found it necessary to force images of their hero GWB into positions of prominence, they feel that we would do the same. They just can’t get over the FACT that OBAMA got the very same Bin Laden that George Bush didn’t.
These people are fucking crazy…there is no other possible analysis.

Proof that no conspiracy theory is too ridiculous for Fox News - so long as it maligns President Obama, of course.

These are the same wingnuts who just know that the manned lunar landing was filmed on the backlot at Warner Brothers and that Elvis is alive and working at a 7/11 in Las Vegas.
