Cavuto And Huckabee Misrepresent Effect Of Sequester On Jobs
On Your World last week, host Neil Cavuto sneered that Treasury Secretary Jack Lew “just made …up” his claim that the sequester had prevented “a half to three quarters of a percent more GDP growth and hundreds of thousands of jobs.” In fact, the one doing the misrepresentation was Cavuto and his guest, Fox News host Mike Huckabaee.

Yesterday, the great nephew of 88 year-old Delbert Benton appeared on Fox & Friends and asked people to stop saying that the horrific murder of his uncle was about race. According to Fox’s own reporting, the motive was robbery. But Sean Hannity and his pal, the noted racist Mark Fuhrman, know better! So who cares what the victim's family wants?
Read moreGretchen Carlson Informs Us That 'Obamaphone' Users Are Welfare 'Freeloaders'
Trending on the Fox News (s)hit list is the "Obamaphone" which seems to be on the same level as Muslims and "illegal immigrants." As a propaganda bête noire, it's perfect as it combines Fox's patented Obama bashing with their disdain for "welfare" programs used for those with black and brown skin - groups which are also part of their enemies list. Never mind that the poor and the elderly get to use their free 120 minutes to, say, call the doctor or emergency workers. According to Fox it's all about those disgusting, lazy "takers" ("welfare queen" redux) who make life so miserable for godly, white conservatives who were outraged, last October, when Matt Drudge released a video of an African-American who claimed to have a free "Obamaphone." (Technically - "Life Line") The video went viral and not surprisingly, Fox & Friends was there to promote the right wing "outrage" as well as play the race card. Just in case you've forgotten about this patented Fox outrage, Gretchen Carlson got those outrage juices flowing on this morning's Fox & Friends during which she interviewed right wing journalist, Nolan Finley, about this wasteful give-away to lazy, dark skinned moochers.
Read moreBill O’Reilly Uses Martin Luther King To Attack African Americans
In what is fast becoming a nightly ritual, Bill O’Reilly used his Talking Points commentary for another condescending lecture to African Americans last night. The latest excuse: the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s March on Washington. Disingenuously posturing as carrying the mantle of Dr. King, O’Reilly nonetheless pronounced the commemoration too “heavy on grievance, light on problem solving,” and too much about racial profiing, voter identification requirements and Trayvon Martin.

As a paragon of "traditionalist" Catholic morality, Bill O'Reilly never wastes an opportunity to bash Hollywood as a den of evil, liberal debauchery. But while Bill might talk the talk, he doesn't exactly walk the walk as seen by his appearance at a very hot Long Island party which included a bevy of Hollywood luminaries including Jamie Foxx whom O'Reilly recently attacked. What makes it even more interesting is that the party was a fund raiser for the Apollo Theater which is an important part of African-American culture - a culture that O'Reilly isn't exactly down with, if you know what I'm saying. It was a star studded evening which, at one point, featured Colin Powell rocking out with Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Ellen DeGeneres, Lenny Kravitz, The Roots, Mary J Blige, Jon Bon Jovi and others. Maybe Bill was there to observe the degeneracy which he will rant about on some future Factor. Or maybe he was really having a good time. Either way, Bill O'Reilly (and Brian Kilmeade) was hanging with the glitterati. Whaaatttt??????
Where's Fox News Report On The Wild Wing Cafe Kicking Out 25 African Americans?
We've been noticing how Fox News has been diligently sniffing out racism lately and debunking it where they feel it's appropriate. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that all the instances of "legitimate" racism highlighted by Fox have been committed by blacks and all the ones Fox has dismissed as illegitimate have been made by blacks. Yet, I was unable to find any coverage at all of the case of 25 African Americans who were turned out of the Wild Wing Cafe in South Carolina, allegedly because a white customer felt threatened.

Donald Trump visited Fox & Friends this morning where he “defended” the $40 million lawsuit alleging his Trump University is a fraud by accusing the New York State attorney general of colluding with President Obama and using the lawsuit as a political vendetta. Trump's latest conspiracy theory is just about as credible as his birther conspiracy theory or his phony presidential campaign(s). But the Fox & Friends hosts did their part to lend an imprimatur of respectability to the outlandish claim.
Read moreFr. Jonathan Morris Says More God Means Less Crime
According to the FBI, violent crime has been decreasing for five years. But if you watch Fox News, you might think that America is awash in violent crime being perpetrated by young black thugs. Rather than critically analyzing the socio-economic factors, mental health (issues related to white mass murderers), and the easy availability of guns, Fox News has focused on the racial component of the recent crimes that do not appear to be racially motivated. And in yet another case of diverting and distracting from the real issues, Fox is now pushing the meme that kids go on murderous rampages because there's just not enough God in society. Last year, official Fox clergyman, Fr. Jonathan Morris opined that shootings, like those in Newtown, occur because the shooters just don't have enough God in their lives. Yesterday, he preached the same gospel when he asserted that if only kids had more God in their lives, things would by so much better.

It looks like birtherism and phony presidential runs are not the only baloney being sold by Donald Trump. According to New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman Trump University is a fraud, too, and he's suing for at least $40 million in restitution.
