The Donald Trump v. Michelle Malkin Twitter War
Grab the popcorn, News Hounds, there's a new Fox News civil war going on, this time in the Twittersphere. In one corner, we have Fox News contributor and hatriot, Mean Girl Michelle Malkin and in the other corner, Fox News fave, Birther Boy Donald Trump. This fight has all the class you could want. Birther Boy called Malkin a "dummy" and the hatriot retaliated by calling him a "smear merchant."

I don't know if Bill O'Reilly is trying to convince us or himself that he's a good Catholic; but he sure does invoke his religion at every opportunity. His March 7th column was an interesting screed where Bill, once again, scolded everybody, including the Catholic Church. At the same time he made sure that his readers know that while he's a "sinner" (Ya think!) he's OK with Jesus because he attends weekly mass. Meanwhile, according to Gawker, he's trying to damn his wife's soul to hell! What a paragon of Catholicism!!!
Read moreRoger Ailes: The Elephant In The Room Holding Down The GOP
We've written before about how Fox News has become something of a detriment to its own cause. But in a great new column, Media Matters' Eric Boehlert nails it when he points to Roger Ailes' Nixonian-era posturing as the major culprit. As the electoral wing of the Republican party searches its soul about re-branding its message and reaching out to new and more diverse voters, the unofficial communications arm of the GOP over at Fox News continues with the same old, same old red meat for its old, white viewers.
Read moreMegyn Kelly Twists Amazing Race Challenge For Propaganda Purposes
When it comes to vapid, jingoistic patriotism, Fox News is painted in the biggest, boldest, red, white and blue. Any perceived affront to the American flag or American patriotism, including American politicians not sporting American flag bling, quickly becomes part of the Fox propaganda narrative. The latest faux right wing "controversy" is an installment of the very successful CBS show, "The Amazing Race," which OMG was set in Hanoi, Vietnam. While this country is open for American tourism and business, Fox, in echoing right wing complaints, has determined that this was not only an inappropriate venue for the race, but downright unpatriotic and un-American because the racers had to listen to a Vietnamese freedom song and take a clue at the site of a downed American B-52. And in typical Fox fashion, Megyn Kelly's "news" coverage of the episode twisted reality for propaganda purposes which is funny considering that the focus of her and Bob Beckel's complaint was about Vietnamese propaganda!
Read moreBill O’Reilly Now Fighting The ‘War On Easter’ – And It’s Obama’s Fault!
It could have been a Saturday Night Live skit but it wasn’t. Bill O’Reilly declared victory in the War On Christmas tonight and moved on to fight the War on Easter. Yes, Virginia, there are evil secular-progressive Obama supporters out there who “refuse to call it an Easter Egg!” It’s all part of their effort to loosen restrictions on abortion and drugs and tighten restrictions for insulting minorities. I guess you could call it the Obama re-election domino effect!

As the mouthpiece for the right wing, Fox News never wastes an opportunity to create "controversy" based on right wing outrage. The latest bit of conservative consternation involves Sunday's installment of CBS's "The Amazing Race" which took place in Hanoi, Vietnam. One of the challenges featured a Vietnamese singing group who sang a Communist song while waving Communist flags. At another point in the competition, the racers took their clues at a box located at the B-52 Memorial which is the wreckage of an American bomber shot down over Hanoi. Tuesday, "The Five" expressed their outrage with what they perceived to be lack of patriotism and insensitivity on the part of CBS. Bob Beckel got particularly unhinged and told CBS execs to "shove it." Beckel (who did not serve) was back on today's "America Live" where he continued to complain.
Read moreNo Tough Questions For Rand Paul Over His Immigration Plan
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) appeared on Your World yesterday to promote his 2016 presidential run discuss his immigration plan. He said “Yes, I am for immigration reform, but my amendment to the bill will be something called “trust but verify,” which says that we have to secure the border, and that we have to have a report that’s voted on by Congress each year in order for immigration reform to go forward.”
Read moreO’Reilly Attacks Bachmann
On The O’Reilly Factor last night, Bill O’Reilly devoted an entire segment to attacking Michele Bachmann. Fox and O’Reilly defenders will surely point to that as proof of his independence. But it’s really more an example of the GOP civil war that has been playing out on the Fox News airwaves lately. Because the gist of O’Reilly’s contention was that Bachmann’s crazy accusations against Obama work undermine the more substantive vilification O’Reilly prefers.

Now that the so called "Ground Zero Mosque" is no longer an issue, Roger Ailes, who has a "personal paranoia" about Muslims, hasn't had much material with which to play the fear of Muslims card. But yesterday, a terrorist watch group run by the Islamophobic and seemingly paranoid Steven Emerson reported its "concerns" about Saudi Arabia's inclusion in the Department of Homeland Security's "Global Entry" program which streamlines airport screening for foreign nationals whose security status has been vetted by their home country and the US. Not surprisingly Fox News is on it. This morning, reinforcing yesterday's Fox News.com's article, Fox & Friends discussed this scary new development with, no, not anybody from DHS or a reputable security firm - but a virulently anti-Obama Tea Party activist whose support for the "Ground Zero Cross" was validated, in 2012, by Megyn Kelly who, like Doocy, didn't mention her guest's right wing creds. Good thing Fox & Friends isn't a real "news" show!
Read moreProsecutors Don't Buy Steven Crowder's 'Sucker Punched By A Union Member' Story
Poor Steven Crowder. First, he was attacked by the meanies on the left for making what he called a joke at CPAC about Ashley Judd's "obsession with rape." After all, she's only a three-time rape survivor, so why shouldn't a guy like Crowder be able to mock her concerns without people getting their nose out of joint? And now, less than a week later, a Michigan prosecutor has declined to prosecute the "thugs" who "sucker-punched" him. Why? Because after reviewing an unedited video - i.e. not the one Crowder showed off on Fox News - the prosecutor concluded he wasn't telling the truth. Get out your hankies, ladies and gentlemen, it's time to book Crowder a room in Jon Stewart's GOP Special Victims Unit!
