Fr. Jonathan Morris At Las Vegas Event Featuring Justice Antonin Scalia
That Fox priest Fr. Jonathan Morris pals around with some heavy hitters in the radical, Republican right is underscored by his lecture, yesterday, for the Nevada chapter of the St. Thomas More Society where controversial, ultra-conservative Justice Antonin Scalia was the keynote speaker. The venue was the Palazzo which has connections to GOP money man Sheldon Adleson. (Scalia voted yes on Citizens United). I'm sure that Fr. Morris made some important contacts in "sin city" and whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so it's all good!!!
Dick Morris Repeats His Outlandish Claim That Bill Clinton Doesn’t Want Obama Re-Elected
Dick Morris – you know, the guy who said Hurricane Katrina would be a “huge positive” for George W. Bush – was on The O’Reilly Factor last night where he previewed Bill Clinton's convention speech by reiterating the crackpot conspiracy theory that Clinton is only fronting support for Barack Obama because Hillary is being “held hostage” as a member of Obama's cabinet.

Coming up: Sandra Fluke and Bill Clinton. I'll bet Fox News has its knives and guns ready to attack the moment it's over. Share your thoughts, opinions and observations in our comments thread.
'Liberal' Van Susteren Glosses Over Michelle Obama's Convention Speech In Order To Harp On Party Platform
Although Michelle Obama rocked the Democratic Convention last night, Greta Van Susteren, whose show came on the air shortly afterward, almost completely ignored Obama's speech. Instead, Van Susteren focused on the removal of "God" and "Jerusalem" from the party platform.
Read moreMegyn Kelly's Statement On Birth Control Mandate A Lie Or Mistake?
Megyn Kelly is part of the Fox News "fair & balanced" news coverage. Yet, she has consistently promoted the talking points of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops in their opposition to the Obama administration's birth control mandate which, they contend, is a violation of their religious freedom. As the saying goes, words matter and the words chosen by Kelly, regarding the HHS mandate, mean something - such as when she repeatedly made the bogus claim that the mandate includes abortion inducing drugs. During yesterday's "America Live," she advanced the oh-so-popular Fox "News" and right wing GOP meme that there is no war on women by the GOP. But during her interview with anti-choice, GOP Governor Nikki Haley, Kelly said something that might have been a misstatement or might have been a deliberate attempt to spin the issue about that evil birth control mandate on behalf of those who oppose it.
Read moreFox News Double Standard Re Nazi References
As we speak, the great, big lede for the Fox News website has a photo of a Nazi rally with the accompanying question "Is This What Democrats Think of Republicans?" Their supporting evidence consists of three statements, by Democratic figures, which make comparisons of the GOP to the Nazis. Meanwhile, beloved GOP party boss Rush Limbaugh can continue to refer to liberal women (and nuns) as "feminzazi's" and GOP House Rep. Allen West can link Democrats to Nazis. But Fox News doesn't seem to have any problem with that whatsoever. Ironic, don't ya think?
Read morePaul Ryan Validates Fox & Friends Concern About Godless, Israel Hating Democrats?
The newest Fox News attack line is their suggestion that the Democrats have insulted "God" by dropping the deity from their platform while the holy rolling Republicans mention "God" twelve times. So when Fox & Friends (Jesus' very own morning show) gets a meme (introduced by Fox "newsman, Bret Baier), they run with it. Not only did Steve Doocy bring up the God dropping during a panel discusion; but the whole crew talked to GOP veep candidate Paul Ryan about it. Ryan is so godly that he has no problem making up stuff about his supposed marathon record and his Fox & Friends appearance suggests that he has no problem bearing Fox's false witness. Oh, God....
Read moreBill Hemmer Advances GOP Meme That There's No War On Women
Despite the reality that GOP is making concerted attempts, some of them successful, to role back women's reproductive rights to the dark ages, the GOP is claiming that there's no war on women. As the mouthpiece for the GOP, it's not surprising to see Fox "News" promote this right wing talking point. Today, Bill Hemmer scored a propaganda two-fer in his interview with two GOP, anti-choice female governors. Not only did they get to dismiss the war on women meme; but they used their platform to bash the Obama administration all while Hemmer flashed his trademark aw shucks grin. Meanwhile they didn't address women's health care issues which are the core of the charge that the GOP is waging war on women. Nothing to see here, move along.
Read moreIn Pushing Godless Democrats Meme, Bret Baier Leaves Out Important Details
One would assume that part of Fox News' platform of being "fair and balanced" includes accuracy- especially when it comes to "God" who stands at the right hand of Roger Ailes. "God" does seem to have been added to Fox News arsenal of weapons of mass smearing against Democrats. This morning, as I reported, Steve Doocy's interview about Michelle Obama's speech took a right turn when Doocy just happened to mention how the evil godless Democrats have removed the word "God" from their platform while the sanctified, godly GOP use (LOL) "God" 12 times. But Doocy represents Fox "opinion" and this kind of propaganda wouldn't be pushed on Fox News. Oh, wait, alleged "fair & balanced" Fox "news" guy Bret Baier introduced it last night. (Congrats to Fox on the birth of another bogus meme).
Read moreSteve Doocy Whines That Dem's Dropped "God" From Platform
Along with standing for "God," the GOP platform also stands for one nation, under "God," that would ban all abortions even in cases of rape and incest. But that's no problem for Jesus BFF and Fox fiend, Steve Doocy who is all a twitter about how the Democratic platform has eliminated "God" from its language. This morning, Steve Doocy proved, once again, that Fox & Friends is Jesus' favorite morning show. And in so doing, he proved, once again, that Fox & Friends is also "the morning happy-talk show that Ailes uses as one of his primary vehicles to inject his venom into the media bloodstream" via sugar coated propaganda. On today's Fox & Friends, Roger Ailes smiling "attack poodle" and devout Catholic Steve Doocy was able to skillfully inject the Fox message that Democrats are a bunch of godless scum who are, as noted on the instructional chyron, "losing their religion." But as usual, for Fox & Friends, "that was just a dream..."
