Dick Morris Repeats His Outlandish Claim That Bill Clinton Doesn’t Want Obama Re-Elected

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on September 06, 2012 · Flag

Dick Morris – you know, the guy who said Hurricane Katrina would be a “huge positive” for George W. Bush – was on The O’Reilly Factor last night where he previewed Bill Clinton's convention speech by reiterating the crackpot conspiracy theory that Clinton is only fronting support for Barack Obama because Hillary is being “held hostage” as a member of Obama's cabinet.

Morris told an openly skeptical Bill O’Reilly, “I guarantee you, based on what I know, that Bill Clinton wants Obama defeated.” Why? Because in Morris’ mind, Hillary has a better chance of getting elected in 2016 if Obama loses in November. “Because after eight years of Obama, no Democrat will get elected for the next hundred years.”

Although it’s a safe bet Morris would be one of if not the last person either Clinton would confide in, Morris nevertheless offered up insight into Clinton’s “thought process:” (Obama) called me a racist. He dumped on me. I’m the only Democrat since Truman to get re-elected.

O’Reilly not only didn’t believe it, he obviously thought it was ridiculous, as he wondered aloud if Morris was suggesting that Clinton was going to get up on the podium and send “subliminal messages” to make Obama lose.

No, Morris said. “Because his wife is a hostage. He can’t do that.” But, Morris added, “Bill has got to be pro-Obama and anti-Romney. But in his heart, it’s a different story.”

O’Reilly questioned that too, “You know in his heart. You know,” he said doubtfully.

Morris said that over September and October “other comments will come out that will indicate that… He’s determined not to be blamed for Obama’s defeat. So that’s why he’s giving this speech tonight.”

“I don’t know if I’m buying all of this,” O’Reilly said.

The second video below is Clinton’s convention speech that he gave shortly after that conversation. You tell me if it sounds like Clinton was faking his support under duress.

@Patrick: I rather thought that was the case at the time but was dating an airman who was being subjected to some pretty heavy propaganda (proof positive that love clouds the intellect). I was deeply disappointed when Kennedy decided to continue the militaristic policies of the previous administration. Left the USA soon after he was assassinated.

I guess you know that the USA has the highest rate of assassination of top leaders in the Western world. That was not exactly the best testimonial for democracy but the Bush administration put paid to any pretence by creating Guantanamo and Obama still hasn’t closed that disgraceful violation of the single most important principle of American law: the habeas corpus.

@William Carroll:

“Clinton doesn’t believe the crap he said about Obama at the convention. He’s not that stupid! The entire speech was delivered with a wink and a nod. Clinton doesn’t really take the American people for fools; he knows that most of the American people know better. You see, the entire speech was a very subtle way to draw the distinction between what is and what could have been and what should be. Those who heard the speech could easily see the difference. The only thing missing was the wagging of the finger!”

Lil’ dick Morris, is that you? ;^)

@Inis: you that that right, sister! Not that I have anything against prostitutes, only against those of their clients who are often the first and most virulent ones to talk against a profession that has existed since the very first primeval female who required males to provide food for the privilege.

Considering Dick’s past record on making predictions (the magic 8 ball has a better success rate) I find it amazing that he has any creditability to give his analysis and be taken seriously by those who want to believe what he spits out. Are there really people out there who when they hear he’ll be a guest actually look forward to his “insights”?

@Thx4 Fish: My idea is that they were supposed to provide comic relief, like Shakespeare’s clowns. Problem is that they are taken very seriously by the foxy faithful. When will Dick Morris sprout the antlers that caused so much grief to Bottom?

Dick Morris and a few others are on Fox to make other idiots (like O’Reilly) look smart.

So true, Richard, so true. All the wars waged by the USA since Vietnam were started by the republicans. There’s gotta be a lesson in there.

@William Carroll: because the republicans won’t do anything to get back into the White House?

In addition to being a whoremongering, toe-sucking pervert, Dick Morris is a complete crackpot. His ridiculous rants are almost comical. Why Nooz Corpse continues to pay Little Dickie is a mystery. Does he have a copy of the lurid FBI files on Rupert Murdick? Just asking.

Morris’s moronic mumblings and musings meander mindlessly into a morass of madness.

Just watched the video: so much for the foxy hopes that Clinton would undermine the re-election of President Barack Obama. “Egg on their faces.”

I was delighted as Clinton started to provide some numbers and that the listeners sort of quieted down as the numbers sank in. That’s what this election should be based on IMO.

@Bill Friday: I think Dick spoke before Clinton did but this sort of thing is typical for him. He’s no longer in control of what he says: he spews out what he hopes will happen; no matter if it doesn’t for he can count on the FNC talking heads to make sure the foxies believe otherwise. There’s a name for this sort of behaviour. I call shame on Fox for abetting it.

Hey! An ad for a sado-macho porno video has just popped up on my screen! Would that be because Ramesh wrote: “Dick Morris’ toes were sucked or his brains were sucked by the prostitute he was with ?”

The mysterious ways of the web.

Ooops. there’s a “not” missing between “are” and “the” in the first line of my comment directed at Ramesh.

I’ve lived abroad (three countries) for over fifty years and have always worked with international professionals. Take out “Fox News” and replace it with “Republicans” : that givesyou a pretty good idea of what people in other countries are thinking.

@Ramesh: My guess is that your Republican friends are the rabid, ranting an!d raging sort. (sheesh, alliteration is contagious!)
