If Fox News' propaganda were an epidemiological model, you could say that Todd Starnes is "patient zero" in that many of Fox's propaganda viruses start with Starnes before they spread to other shows. This morning Fox & Friends provided the host bodies for Starnes' newest infection which is just another variant of the same old, same old Fox persecuted Christian meme. Earlier this week, Starnes wrote about how, sweet mercy, a Florida school district has ended its tradition of having local Christian pastors act as chaplains for the football teams. The schools are also removing other displays of Christianity because evil atheists reminded them that all this sweet Christian fellowship, at taxpayer expense, is unconstitutional. So it's no surprise that one of the persecuted pastors showed up on Fox & Friends for sweet Christian fellowship and a discussion about how the Constitution supports school prayer. Seriously, I'm not making this up!

Jon Stewart's comedic savaging of Fox News' Ferguson coverage was a tough act to follow. But I think we can all agree that Stephen Colbert was up to the task!

OK, I said it first but it's nice to see an august publication and columnist like New York Times' Charles Blow come to the same conclusion: Bill O'Reilly is a race hustler. 

Last night, Bill O’Reilly was struck by a Pew Research poll that shows race relations are “deteriorating.” What he really seemed to want to convey is that black people – who should be grateful to whites for all the white largesse – are becoming more hostile.

Just yesterday, Bill O’Reilly complained about African Americans harboring “Grievance, grievance, grievance!” Apparently, O’Reilly thinks some grievances are A-OK, namely his own. Tonight, O’Reilly was full of grievance against California’s Democratic governor Jerry Brown’s immigration stance and, later, the two guests who support Brown. O’Reilly was rude, interruptive and, finally, cut the mics of both guests because they would not answer O’Reilly’s questions the way he thought they should.

Apparently, Fox’s Jeanine Pirro has put aside her demand for President Obama’s impeachment. You know, because only Democrats are talking about it. Instead, without explanation for her change of heart, Pirro demanded in a recent commentary that Obama resign. We suspect this is not an evolution in her thinking so much as an emerging Fox News meme.

Jon Stewart got right to the heart of what’s wrong with Fox News’ coverage of the shooting death of Michael Brown and the resulting protests in Ferguson, Missouri: a lack of understanding or even interest in the problems of people of color. With special lampooning of Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.

Fox’s Kimberly Guilfoyle has no credentials in national security, terrorism or international policy and she never seems to have spent one minute in military service. But that’s no reason not to play an expert on how to handle ISIS on Fox News.

Monday night, The Kelly File hosted a supporter of Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot and killed the unarmed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Kelly attempted to boost her “fair and balanced” cred by indignantly complaining that other news organizations had ignored a rally on behalf of Wilson. So what’s CNN? Chopped liver?

Bill O’Reilly followed up last night’s discussion about white privilege with Megyn Kelly with another of his tongue lashings for African Americans – this time without the inconvenience of Kelly’s challenges. But while O’Reilly railed yet again against “race hustler” Al Sharpton for not addressing problems within the black community, O’Reilly conveniently ignored Sharpton’s remarks at Michael Brown’s funeral yesterday calling for just the kinds of changes O’Reilly advocates.
