Last night, Bill O’Reilly was struck by a Pew Research poll that shows race relations are “deteriorating.” What he really seemed to want to convey is that black people – who should be grateful to whites for all the white largesse – are becoming more hostile.
O’Reilly cited a statistic from the poll showing that the number of white people who say blacks and whites get along “pretty well” has fallen 5 percentage points in the last five years while the number of African Americans who feel that way has fallen "a whopping" 12 points.
Still, large majorities in both groups still have positive views of race relations. But O’Reilly ignored that fact in order to get to the bottom of some black hostility he apparently thought had been revealed.
“Is this just all Ferguson or do you think there’s something else behind it?” O’Reilly asked Ingraham.
No, it’s Obama’s fault, Ingraham declared:
Back in 2007, 2008… I thought Obama would end up being very divisive. I wasn’t hoping for it. But coming where he came from and the politics of racial division, Eric Holder obviously demonizing our immigration laws as racist, voter ID as racist, American society is racist. That’s what most people on the left believe, Bill. They want a system of racial spoils in place to level the playing field.
So when you start at policy from that point of view… and you gotta make the non-minority people pay as much as possible, as often as possible, you’re gonna have deteriorating race relations and that’s just where we are today.
O’Reilly, however, was puzzled. He said that “the entitlement culture” has benefitted so many African Americans, he was surprised by their lack of gratitude sentiment that race relations have deteriorated. “I can see why whites would,” he added.
And, really, who better to explain this conundrum than Laura Ingraham? I guess Sean Hannity and Megyn Kelly were otherwise engaged. However, Ingraham didn’t let her lack of credentials hold her back from opining:
People like Holder and Obama allow this narrative to continue to get - ...Yeah, it’s the grievance culture, it’s the system’s rigged against you and that’s all they hear in school, that’s all they hear in history books.

As for Laura, poor thing is aging herself right out of the Ailes stable of bimbos, so she’s got to keep up the narrative to stay employed.
NOTE TO MS. LAURA
You are a worthless bimbette and a horrible mother. We feel sorry for your children. If the CPS was smart they would remove your children from your home.
Is it possible that years of the right wing hectoring at President Obama might have been noticed by everyone else? Is it possible that people have noticed how the right wing has repeatedly tried to challenge the legitimacy of President Obama – over everything from his qualifications, his abilities and even whether his birth certificate is genuine? Is it possible that people have noticed how the right wing has spent 6 years attacking and blaming President Obama for everything from the latest overseas crisis to the sun coming up later? Is it possible that cases like Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown have added to racial animosity, for obvious reasons?
And is it possible that the conduct of right wing pundits at Fox News and AM radio has added to the problem in a big way? Is it possible that Rush Limbaugh happily musing about riots after the Trayvon Martin verdict might have angered people along racial lines? For that matter, is it possible that some people might find Bill O’Reilly’s repeated attempts to lecture them perhaps a bit offensive?
