Jon Stewart got right to the heart of what’s wrong with Fox News’ coverage of the shooting death of Michael Brown and the resulting protests in Ferguson, Missouri: a lack of understanding or even interest in the problems of people of color. With special lampooning of Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.
The entire segment is brilliant and bitingly funny. Best line, after noting the actions African Americans are taking to address the gang violence in Chicago Fox keeps accusing them of overlooking - in favor of playing the "grievance," "race card" in Ferguson: “You see, you being ignorant of those attempts doesn’t mean the issue, itself, is being ignored. In the same way that when it snows where you live doesn’t mean the world isn’t getting hotter.”
Zingo!
And do stick around for the hilarious bit where Stewart tore apart Hannity’s suggestion that Michael Brown could have avoided getting shot had he only followed Hannity’s guidelines for dealing with the police: “You really do have no f***ing idea, do you?” Stewart mocked at the end, just before he turned serious.
He even worked in the War on Christmas!
One of The Daily Show’s best.
The third-rate mouthpieces at this fraudulent “news” network have no idea what they are talking about. They are all white.
Photo Op Hannocchio recalled his sorry story of being stopped by the police. That officer should have arrested him, and thrown his fat azz in jail. It’s long overdue.
