Fox News wasted no time exploiting the terrible news that two New York City police officers had been shot to blame President Obama, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Al Sharpton for supposedly creating the climate that allowed such a crime to happen. This, from the network that encouraged rancher Cliven Bundy's armed standoff with law enforcers. And the network that relentlessly demonized an abortion doctor until he was assassinated.
Not long after Police Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were reported shot to death by an African American who claimed revenge for the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, Fox News host Jeanine Pirro was ready to make political hay.
Pirro, you may recall, regularly becomes unhinged with hatred toward Obama. So it was hardly a surprise she used this tragedy to continue her jihad.
In this case, Pirro teamed up with “former New York City Commissioner Bernard Kerik.” Pirro must have forgotten to tell the “we report, you decide” network’s audience that Kerik is a convicted felon. In 2010, Kerik was sentenced to 48 months in prison after pleading guilty to tax fraud, lying under oath, and other charges. He had previously pleaded guilty to charges of receiving $165,000 in gifts from a New Jersey construction firm alleged to have ties to organized crime. Funny, Fox host Megyn Kelly forgot to tell her audience about Kerik’s criminal history, too.
Kerik seemed mostly interested in going after de Blasio and Sharpton:
KERIK: In this circumstance, I believe, I personally feel that Mayor de Blasio, Sharpton and others like them, they actually have blood on their hands. They encouraged this behavior. They encouraged protests. These so-called peaceful protests that – where people are standing out there saying, “Kill the cops.” Well, I hope they’re happy. Because they got what they wanted.
…You have to question whether this man, Mayor de Blasio can actually lead this city. You have to question that. You have to wonder how can he lead this city.
But Pirro deliberately made the story about President Obama as well. Even though he had nothing to do with it.
PIRRO: Let’s talk about the president as well. De Blasio and, I think, the President of the United States need to understand that their actions in failing to defend police and criticizing police – saying African American young men are having problems with law enforcement. Well, right now, law enforcement – two officers, executed, are having problems with young African American men. I don’t know who’s talking about this but I’m going to talk about it.
The two of them have undoubtedly created racial tensions that worsens, not betters the situation for law enforcement.
Kerik got with the program.
KERIK: It’s not only the city… Our nation’s police has been called into question by the mayor and other legislators and political figures around this country over the last two months over two incidents!
…They turned this entire country, their entire police service in this country, into racists. And I agree with the federal law enforcement association, the officers, that said if this was handled differently up front, that probably wouldn’t have happened today. Nobody would have the courage to do what they did.
Well, where was the outrage when Sean Hannity was recklessly inflaming tensions and promoting armed insurrection against federal law officers trying to enforce laws rancher Cliven Bundy refused to recognize, much less follow? And why didn’t anyone blame Bill O’Reilly for ratcheting up hate against abortion provider Dr. George Tiller – even after his assassination?
If Fox really cared about safety, it would use its powerful microphone to promote reconciliation and understanding. Instead, it’s doing just the opposite, as it always has.
Watch it below, from the December 20, Justice with Judge Jeanine show.
After only one day Fox News has already eliminated coverage of the Tea Party Cop Killers in Las Vegas who went on a murderous rampage Sunday. On Monday, Fox’s primetime programs (Bill O’Reilly, Megyn Kelly, and Sean Hannity) were silent on the subject except for four sentences on Kelly’s show.
On Tuesday morning’s edition of Fox & Friends, the curvy couch potatoes failed to mention Jerad Miller and his wife Amanda. Later, on Happening Now, Fox ignored the story entirely. Outnumbered also declined to report on the Millers.
I can always count on Fox to blame EVERYTHING on the Democrats.
HONOLULU (AP) — President Barack Obama says he unconditionally condemns the murder of two police officers shot in broad daylight on Saturday in New York.
Obama says there’s no justification for the slayings. He says police offers risk their own safety to serve and protect their communities and that they deserve the public’s respect and gratitude.
Authorities say that before shooting the officers, the gunman announced online he planned to shoot two “pigs” in retaliation for the police chokehold death of Eric Garner. The gunman later killed himself.
Obama is asking Americans to reject violence and harmful words. He’s encouraging people instead to embrace words that heal, and to seek out prayer and sympathy for the victims’ relatives.
FOR EVERY ACTION, THERE IS A REACTION!
In the same way, you can only push people (especially Muslims and African Americans) around for so long before they start PUSHING BACK!
’Nuff said.
But, there’s a black Democrat, so…
