Roger Ailes is concerned mostly about ratings.

His shrewd move is his attempt to keep more Trump supporters from bailing on Fox News by giving the impression that he is reaching out to Trump.

What transpires at the meeting is secondary.

Shame on Megyn Kelly. I erroneously thought she was better than this. If she has read the grand jury transcript, just as many witnesses said his hands were up as those who disagreed.

I see Fox News frat boy #2 (behind Tucker Carlson) named Jesse Watters has that Rush-Limbaugh phrase “democat party” down pat just like his mentors, except for Bill O’Reilly who thankfully doesn’t resort to this silliness.

On the plus side he also has Scott Brown with an 83% chance to lose NH. That’s right, 83% !!!

Opposing free healthcare shows you the depth of his callous attitude toward the poor and totally undermines any points he was trying to make about disincentivizing people from working.

I remember living in the deep south in the 1960s. At that time Catholics and the Catholic Church were reviled by the WASP population.

Now you have such a heavy influence at Fox News, whose primary audience is the very people who themselves and/or their ancestors used to absolutely loathe Catholics. :)

I find this turnaround quite humorous. It reminds me of the old axiom, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

It begins with Roger Ailes, whose wife is a Catholic.

Then to the best of my knowledge so are all of these Fox News ‘personalities’:

BTW, this was written from the perspective of a life-long non-practicing Catholic who admires many of their teachings and charitable work. I’m just not a fan of the hierarchy or what some of their universities are doing.
