It looks like Rupert Murdoch has just thrown in the towel in his fight with Roger Ailes over Fox News love for Donald Trump.
Rupert Murdoch has made no secret of his dislike for Donald Trump. Last month, he tweeted, “When is Donald Trump going to stop embarrassing his friends, let alone the whole country?"
This, as Murdoch’s underline, Roger Ailes, promoted Trump on Fox News and reportedly claimed “not to care” about his boss’ view.
But now Murdoch seems to be making nice to Trump. CNN reports that last week, Murdoch and Trump engaged in a “cordial and forward-looking” phone conversation that “one person” described as “a peace making effort. “ CNN also noted that Murdoch seems to have backed off his Twitter attacks on Trump as well.
On Sunday, Murdoch tweeted, “Fox Thursday debate vital for all candidates. If Trump gets thru unscathed it will be big win. Time for all to understand his support.”
In other words, Murdoch has caved to Ailes.

It’ll be interesting to see how Fox handles Trump if he does become a third party candidate.
