As a small business owner in the Chicago area for nearly 30 years, our experience is that minimum wage RARELY comes into play because small businesses have no time for long periods of training. Qualified people (still in high demand!) always cost the small businesses at a minimum what they can earn with the big boys. Incidentally, at my place, Obamacare meant a reduction of more than 20% in our premiums. Other small business owners have shared similar stories with me. Unfortunately, insurance premiums are STILL our largest business expense other than payroll.

Additionally, November was the warmest month since records have been kept, 134 years.
“GLOBAL” is a concept that is far too large for most the right to grasp. They keep equating ‘global’ with the weather they can see while looking through the windows of their double-wide.
I truly don’t get it…..why are they so against admitting that their very lifestyle is threatened by a real danger? Do they hate science that much just because they can’t understand it?
