Mark Fuhrman Baselessly Calls Christopher Lane Killing A Racial ‘Hate Crime’

Posted by Ellen -7842.60pc on August 22, 2013 · Flag

Fox News had quite a race-baiting day yesterday covering the horrific killing of Australian Christopher Lane, allegedly by three teenagers, out of boredom. In the hour before they turned to bigot Pat Buchanan to race bait discuss the killing and after Fox & Friends wrongly claimed that all three of the alleged perpetrators were black and after Fox Nation used the case to racially smear President Obama, the Hannity show turned to another bigot, Mark Fuhrman, for his “insights” into the matter.

As usual, Fuhrman was introduced merely as a “former LAPD detective” with no mention that he left the Los Angeles police under a racial cloud that arose during his testimony in the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Guest host Monica Crowley opened the discussion by asking Furhman, “How rare is this kind of thing where the motive to a homicide is, apparently, simply boredom?”

Fuhrman replied:

Well, I think it’s extremely rare but let’s, let’s not use the ‘thrill kill’ and the ‘boredom.’ The essence of this murder is simply one thing. It’s a hate crime and it’s probably a hate crime based on his race as he ran by. I wish I could hear the conversation between these three idiots about just exactly what the conversation was before they got in the car, the conversation in the car, the conversation post shooting, just what was said.

To her credit, Crowley stopped him. She said, “But, Mark, we don’t know that. We don’t know that. They are certainly thugs.”

“No, we don’t need to know that,” Fuhrman insisted.

Crowley responded, “They are certainly allegedly murderers here in cold blood. But we don’t know if there’s a racial element to this case.”

The conversation moved on from there.

Fox reached new heights (or lows) in racial insensitivity when they made Fuhrman a regular “neutral” analyst in the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case. There’s no reason to think these remarks will disqualify him from a similar role in racial matters of the future.

All three teens were black. Media tried to push the one light-skinned kid as being white.

Word on the wire is that Hannity’s negotiations with the clear channel are still going on. Newsbusters posted some crap about that they were done a week ago, but everyone else who even cares about him is skeptical, including the conservative havens.

Frankly, that would explain a lot, if that was the case. Hannity’s Fox behaviour strikes me as someone who’s trying to keep his cool over something major in the off-air. His radio contract negotiations not going well definitely fits that bill.

Joe, I don’t know. I will say that a lot of other media hosts are on vacation right now and Hannity seems to take off when O’Reilly isn’t and vice versa.

A little OT:

I’ve noticed Slanthead absent from radio for second day now, teevee too.

Is this a planned vacation… or is he lying low to ponder his failing broadcasting career? Ellen? Anyone?

One troll there, with a penchant for sock-puppetry. Lame.

Well, the point is, they assume that Zimmerman’s motivation was racial with zero evidence, yet in this case, there is some evidence that he was racists yet they ignore it.

Zimmerman posted all over his social media that he would like to kill black people, as well as every Latino nationality but his own. There’s postings about that all over the internet. He also posted racist comments about blacks, same as his brother and father.

Oh, and there’s the small matter of that Zimmerman also openly bragged about targeting people, sometimes based on race, and said he gets away with it because the cops are scared of Daddy.

This is before you disclose that numerous people came forward, saying that Zimmerman profiled blacks and Latinos who were on his bad side to the point of stereotyping them, and when he ran the neighborhood watch, he always looked at the black guy first. Moreso after he heard about the break-ins.

Fox News likes to say that the FBI didn’t think Zimmerman was a racist; They leave out the part where most of the people who actually knew him did. Then again, didn’t they also try to claim that the family he allegedly pulled out of that truck was black? Because those people were two shades shy of Casper.

And who’s ignoring the racist tweets? I found plenty of hits about them, from both sides. But the white kid told the cops he pulled the trigger, and the cops have yet to tell us that they can prove he’s lying. So we have three black kids who are supposed to be so racist they kill whites on site… and the gunman was one of the 10% of white people they can stand.

By the way… Obligatory reference to Tulsa. If Lane was a hate crime, Tulsa was a super hate crime, so… Oops, white and Latino, with black victims. Fox approved.

To the visiting trolls, I’ll point out to both of you that the PRIMARY reason there was so much outrage about the Zimmerman case was the MONTH-LONG DELAY before charges were even brought against Zimmerman. These three boys (1 of whom is white and 1 may be mixed-race Black/Hispanic—what’s commonly described as “Blatino”) were picked up within mere HOURS of their crime. Incidentally, it’s interesting how FoxNoise jumps on any case where a white person is attacked or killed by African-Americans, even when the perps are caught within a matter of hours, but isn’t quite as quick to look into cases where an African-American person is attacked or killed by whites (unless, of course, Jackson or Sharpton calls attention to the crime, at which point FoxNoise simply pulls out the old “race hustler” smear and promptly takes the white guy’s side).

Furthermore, it’s CLEAR from “Zim’s” own call to 911 that he had profiled Trayvon and was DELIBERATELY stalking him (by the way—AGAINST the operator’s instructions) before shooting Martin. These guys admitted they were doing it because they were “bored” (no matter how much Furhma wants to ignore the EVIDENCE at hand—of course, this IS Fuhrman, a man who didn’t let something like evidence get in his way as a cop, even if he had to plant the evidence).

Andy, I said MySpace, not FaceBook. Use the google. But, I agree with you….racism can happen in both directions and the penalties should be equal, regardless of the race of either the victim or the offender. The same should apply to gender bias, and gay bias.

As visitor 55. You must be dim so I’ll spell it out for you. There is more reason to think that these kids acted based on race than zimmerman.

Didn’t zim mentor young AA boys? Didn’t he have an AA girlfriend at one time?

Andy, there was a considerable amount of evidence that Zimmerman was a racist. Did you ever see his MySpace page?
But you can continue to ignore the obvious….the Zimmerman fiasco just has no bearing on this case.
The point is….you have no point.

Fuhrman is quite possibly the least qualified human being on Earth to comment on this, so of course he’s on FNC.

Wow, this is a tough situation.
I certainly don’t want to take the side of any troll, BUT, IF it can be proved that these kids were on a mission to kill only white people, then it should be considered a racial hate crime. However, I’m not sure yet that their next victim wouldn’t have been black….or that color played any part of their ‘funtime’. If the killing was strictly random, they would then be spree killers, NOT racist haters.
In any case, it’s a short trip from ‘stupid’ to ‘racist hater’.

No one is pretending that racism doesn’t exist from all sides against each other. Former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall once famously said that there is no difference between a white snake and a black snake, they both can bite.

As far as the NRA is concerned they’re only a powerful lobbying group who only care about protecting the profits of the gun and ammunition manufactures. They don’t give a rat’s ass about your right to own a gun, they just want to maintain the opportunity for you to buy guns for their financial benefit. So it’s worthless to even bring them in this.

If this were a case where it was the opposite of three bored whites those of you on the right know very well that Fox would be completely ignore this. And before you ask if it were three whites, then yes, Al Sharpton would be reacting with the same intensity that Fox is today. Again let’s just wait, allow the legal system to separate the emotions with facts, and keep in mind those who are grieving and have no political agenda.

Uh, Edwards talked race saying 90% of the White race sucked. I would say racial animus existed. Luna and Jones had White mothers, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be racist. There have been people of mixed ancestry that have been racists towards one of their sides before.

Of course it was a hate crime. Had nothing to do with “right wing media” and comments about the NRA being responsible are stupid beyond ability to describe. the MEdia hypocrisy is staggering. Anyone who doesn’t see this is a complete and utter fool

A couple of months ago the right wing blogs were ablaze with the story in Georgia where a woman was accusing two black teenagers of shooting and killing an infant during a robbery attempt because she didn’t have any money. Then it was reported that police were focusing the investigation on the mother or father and as possible suspects. Once that information came out I’ve seen anything about it. I may have missed it if anything new came out, but overall the story has faded into oblivion as far as the right is concerned.

Perhaps the lesson learned here should be not to jump to any conclusions and allow the facts to come out. Fox and the right have been salivating hoping for a story like this senseless act in Oklahoma, but let’s just wait while we show respect to the victim and his grieving family and friends, and whoever is responsible is brought to justice.
whrogers1980 commented 2013-08-22 09:41:03 -0400 · Flag
Yeah. The NRA is the problem. Those kids should have never been allowed to buy those guns illegally? Let’s prevent people from legally owning a weapon to stop it.

People claiming others are racializing the tragedy and they are using it to blame the NRA with no knowledge of the circumstances that allowed these evil kids to obtain the weapons. Ok.

I knocked out five woods since zimmerman court. 90% of white people are nasty, HATE THEM.

White kid was driving. All of the evidence that zimmerman was nowhere near a racist didn’t stop the blathering race industry from painting him as one.

Are you daft? Of course it was a hate crime. They were posting on social media sites about hating white people (“90% of white people are nasty”) then they killed the first random white guy they found. Clearly a racially motivated killing, therefore a hate crime as defined by US law. Case closed.
