Kimberly Guilfoyle went the extra Trump-promoting mile when she said that Donald Trump would appear on Fox News to help “make America great again” on New Year’s Eve.
If you’ve turned on the TV at all lately, you’ve almost certainly seen Trump either in front of a “make America great again” sign or under a hat with the same slogan as he unleashes his malice against Hispanics, women, the disabled and others deemed not quite as awesome as his own self.
But on New Year’s Eve, as one of the many teasers for Trump’s appearance on the “all American” Fox New Year’s Eve special, host Guilfoyle didn’t just give Trump’s slogan a plug, she promoted it as truth:
GUILFOYLE: Later, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump will be here to help us ring in the New Year and make America great again.
In case you think that was just a slip of the tongue or that Guilfoyle misspoke in the heat of the moment, let me point out that Guilfoyle made this same claim, almost word for word, to TV Guide when, presumably, she had time to think about what she was saying:
Is Trump going to be doing the countdown with you?
Yes, that’s the idea. Ringing in 2016. We’re going to make New Year’s and America great again. We’ve got the big interview with Trump, and we’re going to be joined by a number of 2016 candidates, so we’re excited about that too.
Maybe next time, Guilfoyle could wear the hat. After all, there may have been one or two people watching who didn’t get the message.
Watch Guilfoyle’s blatant bias below, from Fox’s December 31, 2015 New Year’s Eve special.
You be the judge.
Of course, a GOPer can suggest that America’s not in that great a shape (because, you know, Black, secret Muslim President) and get feted by the “fair and balanced” network.
