Sean Hannity didn’t just make it clear that he prefers Israel to his own country when interviewing the Israeli Ambassador to the United States last night, he suggested he might love Israel even more were it to attack Syria and/or Iran.
But first, Hannity tried to prod Israel’s Ambassador Ron Dermer into maligning Secretary of State John Kerry. Hannity’s very first question to Dermer was:
As this is happening, I am a little shocked at Secretary of State Kerry’s admonition for Israel to constantly show restraint. What is your reaction to that, considering – what, now 1600 rockets have been fired into Israel?
Because nothing says “great American” like dissing our government to a foreign country and trying to get its ambassador to pile on.
Dermer declined the bait very decisively. He said, “I think the secretary supports Israel’s right to defend itself. I know the president does as well. I personally spoke to the secretary and I know he supports Israel’s right to defend itself.”
Dermer got a lot of unchallenged time for some image rehab about the hundreds of civilian casualties in Gaza that are not going over so well on the world stage. Would Hannity ever be this respectful and supportive to an American official in the Obama administration? I don’t think so.
Maybe if Obama were to start a new war, especially against Iran, Hannity might have a change of heart? Nah, probably not.
But Hannity would certainly not mind if Israel attacked Iran and/or Syria.
HANNITY: Look, I understand that the mission here., it’s to break up Hamas’ infrastructure and break up their tunnel system… and but for the Iron Dome, all of those 1600 rockets would have landed in civilian areas within Israel. Where is the source of this weaponry? Is it Syria, is it Iran and what do you do about the ultimate source here? Do you not have to go to the source to prevent this from happening in the future?
Dermer did not swat that away. Before noting that many rockets do come from Syria and Iran, Dermer replied, “Well, you raise a very good point.”
Hannity closed the interview by saying, “Ambassador our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Israel as they deal with this terror threat, and it is severe.”
Well, it’s good to know where Hannity’s thoughts and prayers are because we have already known where they are not.
By the way, today marks five years and three months since tough guy Hannity promised to under waterboarding for charity to prove that it’s not torture.
Watch Hannity show just what kind of a phony patriot he is below.
Everyone knows that Hannocchio is not the sharpest tack on the board. The Elite Washington GOP Power Machine laughs at him behind his back. They use him for free airtime on his show, and pretend to like him. Hannocchio is too stupid to realize that everyone is using him. If Hannocchio lost both his radio and television show, his so-called “friends” would abandon him like a sinking ship.
If the Fox “News” suits were smart, they would release him from his contract early, and send him packing. He does not want to be at Fox “News” anymore. Why prolong his misery?
