Last night, the Hannity show aired a pre-recorded program based on radio clips of right-wing icon Paul Harvey suggesting that liberalism is the work of the devil. Sean Hannity likened Harvey to Nostradamus and deliberately singled out President Obama as one such devil-channeler. Fortunately, Fox contributor Kirsten Powers let Hannity have it with a smackdown that was nothing less than magnificent.
The segment was purportedly an homage to Harvey and to Fox Nation’s fifth anniversary. According to Hannity, Fox Nation’s post about Harvey’s "analysis" was its most popular ever. But it soon became clear that Hannity’s real aim was to portray liberals - with special attention to President Obama - as devils. Ironically, Fox Nation is the biggest cesspool of hate, race baiting and divisiveness imaginable.
Nevertheless, Hannity began the show with a clip of Harvey saying, “If I were the devil, I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree. …So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States.”
Each segment began with a clip of Harvey talking about his vision of the devil’s work – and nobody contested his very ideological interpretation.
Even worse, in one segment, Hannity explicitly suggested that President Obama is the devil or channeling the devil.
Hannity played a clip of Harvey saying, “If I were the devil, I’d take from those who have and give to those who want it until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.” That was followed up with several clips of Obama talking about “fair share” and income inequality. “Sounds like Paul Harvey is Nostradamus,” Hannity said, in case anyone missed the gist.
Only on Fox News would concern for fairness be presented as the work of the devil.
In a later segment, Republican Noelle Nikpour was right with the program. Although she didn’t use the word "devil," she painted liberals as anti-Christian. She said, “We are up against liberalism. And liberalism is basically a religion to its own. I think it is a culture and it’s a way of life and I think… that’s why we’re so divided. Because basically, it’s conservatism and it’s Christianity vs. liberalism.”
Fox’s Todd Starnes was another:
We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. So if you take the Creator out of it, which is what the liberals have been trying to do, and they’ve been so far pretty successful, who do you put in there? …Let’s put in Karl Marx. How did that work out?
…Back in the last election, I was in Charlotte, NC, in that arena, when the Democrats tried to kick God out of the party, and then they booed God. Why do you think they booed God? …It’s because they only have room for one deity in the Democratic party and the almighty’s not it.
Finally, it was Powers’ turn. Unlike the professional Democrats – none of whom called out what was really going on – she spoke plainly and did not mince words:
That’s the biggest bunch of nonsense I’ve ever heard, first of all. Second of all, let’s go back in history and look at the facts of this ‘wonderful’ time that you’re harkening back to, when Christians ran everything. We had segregation, when Jews were openly discriminated against, where women were openly discriminated against. This is a fantasy world that never existed. It doesn’t mean that we don’t have problems in this country. But to pretend that somehow when God was in the public schools everything was going so perfectly? …(S)egregation, happened while God was in the schools. …Where was God when there was segregation?
…None of the liberals here have spoken about conservatives the way the conservatives have routinely spoken about liberals on this panel. …They’re sitting there and talking as if liberals are causing every problem in the world.
Hannity’s defense? "We haven’t thrown one chair."
Powers is not a reliable advocate for Democrats or liberals on Fox. She’s a paid contributor so she certainly is not going to call out her employer’s tactics. But she can be terrific. And you have to ask why none of the so-called professional “Democratic strategists” who are not beholden to Fox even came close?
He works very hard trying to cover up his troubled past from the public. His biggest fear is someone revealing all of his dirty details to the public. That day will come soon.
This Long Island Lolito is a cold, calculating, opportunist who will use people to advance his broadcasting career. Herman Cain and Neal Boortz are suppose to be Hannocchio’s friends, yet he rarely mentions them now on his shows.
Now, this aging media hack is pimping money from wealthy oil men in North Dakota. A possible second career just in case the Fox “News” suits toss him.
This oil industry publication destroyed Hannocchio’s keynote address at the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference.

If the Horned One with the tail and pitchfork had a son, we know his name would be Hannocchio.
