Fox Works To Portray Midterm Election As Big Hillary Clinton Loss

You wouldn’t expect Fox New not to find a way to make the 2014 midterm elections about Hillary Clinton, would you?

On today’s Happening Now, host Heather Nauert brought up “The Clinton factor” in yesterday’s elections. Never mind that no Clinton was on any ballot anywhere. But the fact that Clinton campaigned for a lot of Democrats who lost yesterday can only mean one thing on Fox: an opportunity to suggest her still-undeclared 2016 candidacy is in trouble.

Nauert said to her Democratic guest, Doug Schoen, “Hillary Clinton went out and stumped for a whole lot of candidates. She supported at least 26 of them. 10 won, 13 lost, three of those races still undecided. Doug, is her star fading a bit on the campaign trail?”

Schoen is an Obama hater and Democratic wanker but he’s a Hillary supporter. So he pushed back, albeit by attacking President Obama. Schoen said, “I think that this election was a repudiation of, first and foremost – as every Republican I’ve heard say – of President Obama. And I think that the Clinton brand is separate and distinct from President Obama and I don’t think this has a appreciable impact on her fortunes and future.”

But, not surprisingly, the Republican went last, thereby getting the last word, after Nauert got the first, doubt-raising comments about Clinton. This is a typical Fox tactic, by the way.

Republican Matt Schlapp said, “No, I think it’s untrue. I think here’s what’s the problem for Hillary Clinton. She has to convince the American people that the Democrats deserve a third presidential term. And I think that’s gonna be an awfully tough argument for her to make in 2016. Ronald Reagan was the last president to do it. Hillary Clinton is no Ronald Reagan.”

2016 is on and Fox’s anti-Democratic engines are revving up.

From Steve St. John’s comment:

“Pretty sad, but that reflects (badly) on a good portion of the electorate.”

How right you are Steve. Tuesday’s elections were nothing but 100% CONCRETE PROOF of how there are still TENS OF MILLIONS OF EXTREMELY IGNORANT “sheeple” out there in America that simply CANNOT THINK FOR THEMSELVES! That’s why Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Rupert Murdoch) and his faithful elephant-sized toady Jabba the Ailes (i.e. Roger Ailes) are LAUGHING THEIR HEADS OFF ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK, because they’ve known for many years that FEAR SELLS!

It’s a damn shame that Republicans can win elections not by touting their accomplishments (since they don’t have any), but by bashing the President (and now possibly the next President).

Pretty sad, but that reflects (badly) on a good portion of the electorate.
