Fox’s Todd Starnes: Obama Using Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman Case To ‘Tear Apart’ The Country

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on July 17, 2013 · Flag

Sean Hannity brought back his “studio audience” last night which, as usual, was stacked with those who agree with him. In this case, the subject was Fox News’ Victim Of The Year, George Zimmerman. Predictably, Hannity used Zimmerman’s recent acquittal to race bait against African Americans and President Barack Obama. But Fox’s Todd Starnes did his part above and beyond anything Sean Hannity likely hoped for.

Hannity opened the discussion by focusing on a few isolated incidents of violence sparked by the Zimmerman acquittal - in an overt effort to malign African Americans. Hannity said, “There’s a case in Baltimore where you had a number of black youths beat a Hispanic man, there were eyewitnesses. 'This is for Trayvon expletive,' is what the eyewitnesses heard.” Then he tossed to Starnes who had some more, similar anecdotes. “Tell us about the stories you found out about,” Hannity said.

Starnes eagerly related two scary-black men stories before adding:

You asked a question a few moments ago, Sean. Why is the president silent? I believe it’s intentional. And I believe that the president’s not trying to divide the nation. I think he’s trying to tear it apart. …I believe that’s what this administration is doing.

A few of the audience members erupted in cries such as, “Come on!” But not our Master Baiter Of Race and host. He interrupted the outrage to ask, “How many agree with Todd’s statement?”

I believe only two people raised their hands, including Deneen Borelli, a Fox News contributor who regularly serves as an African American black attacker on the Hannity show.  So Hannity immediately switched to another question guaranteed to get a better show of Obama-hating hands: How many think the president could calm the tensions right now but is not?”

Of course, Fox could do its own work to calm tensions but instead, the "fair and balanced" network is going out of its way to inflame them.

Okay…lemme get this straight. The president is trying to tear the country apart by being silent? Of course, if President Obama DID say anything, he’d be trying to tear the country apart by speaking.

@kent Brockman. Good one.
Wicked Wendi to Wrinkled Rupert: “I don’t think I have seen one that big before.”
Wrinkled Rupert: You mean my wanker?
Wicked Wendi: No, that varicose vein on your leg.

@ Brian M Dear Brian: if I was you, may I suggest giving the owner of this bar the following ultimatum like I’ve done with one of the Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants near me:

“LOSE FOX NEWS CHANNEL OR YOU’LL LOSE MY BUSINESS!”

Always remember: $$$$ TALKS — BULLS**T WALKS! Case in point: recording artist Stevie Wonder — I’ve just read on http://www.huffingtonpost.com that because of the recent acquittal of George Zimmerman, he’s planning to BOYCOTT THE STATE OF FLORIDA!

@d d Don’t forget d d and Ellen: that CORPULENT tub of lard head of Faux Spews (i.e. Roger Ailes, aka "Jabba the Ailes) has been inflaming racial tensions since the late 1960s when he was helping the late Richard Nixon win the 1968 presidential election. Remember: he is the author of Nixon’s longtime running race-baiting “Southern strategy”.

If this nuze segment offended you contact Rupert Murdoch. He’s busy right now, what with phone hacking, police & political bribing scandals & another ex-wife who is no longer fondling his wrinkled wanker, but he will get back to you after he has finished facing charges about all his corrupt dealings & has fond himself another wrinkled wanker fondler – or not.

If it’s the “nation” represented by these neo-fascist thugs that Obama is tearing apart, let it rip from purple mountains majesty to shining sea!

-—————-

Exactly. I keep hearing BOR, F&F and others at this network complaining about the way OTHER media outlets are reporting this story — yet they never point the spotlight on their own network’s talking heads and the over-hyped, race baiting manner in which they have covered this story.

Hey, FOX "news"’ what’s that saying about people who live in glass houses? And speaking of glass houses, FOX “news” is enjoying the suggestion that Zimmerman is going to sue and/or get a settlement out of NBC for editing the 911 audio. Being that several shows on their own network have also bogusly edited audio/video in order to fit their conservative agenda and change context perhaps those at FOX “news” shouldn’t crow too loudly about what might happen to NBC as the same could happen to them. LOL!

Is there anything more disgusting than how Fox is using the grief over the death of unarmed Trayvon Martin to race bait and exploit a political agenda?

Toady Starnes has my nomination and vote for outrageous quote of the week (or month for that matter).

It’s good for Fox’s business to promote unrest. Besides, what else can they possibly cover?
