Never mind the lingering questions that still hang over Gov. Chris Christie’s head over the George Washington Bridgegate scandal. On Fox News, the scandal that could threaten his 2016 presidential chances has only demonstrated his “true leadership,” as Fox & Friends co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck put it.
As a banner on the screen read “A LESSON IN LEADERSHIP?” Fox & Friends guest Rudy Giuliani did his best to make the GW Bridge scandal about President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Which was fairly predictable, given Fox's other attempts to do the same. But then Hasselbeck took the Christie lovin’ to new heights - or lows, depending on your point of view:
It’s sad in some ways to think of this as refreshing and different, right? That someone would come forward and actually be accountable and show true leadership. The good news is, in the minds of many, is that this could sort of clear the way for him moving into 2016.
