Black Lives Matter protesters have targeted Fox News and New York Post on January 2 for a die in and shutdown.
Sponsored by two Occupy groups, a Facebook notice says:
As many already know The NY POST is a newspaper that is owned and controlled by the Right Winger Rupert Murdoch, who in essence is a corporate racist, that continually supports and disseminates racist, classist, sexist and all forms of pro 1% misinformation through his NY POST newspaper as well as FOX television.
This rag has also continually posted lies and misinformation about the Black Lives Matter movement, protests and uprising. We say NO REST FOR THE WICKED and beyond this action a boycott of the NY POST and FOX NEWS remains in existence as long as the lies continue from its newspaper, news programming and other media services.
This Die-In Shutdown and Boycott is but the first part of a larger upcoming campaign for justice, and one way to make change is to begin hitting the 1% in their pockets as well as enlighten, expand and maximize participation in the movement as well as a action to expose the racist lies and bias of mass media starting with but NOT limited to the NY POST!
We’ve been writing for years about Fox’s race baiting and it has only gotten worse since Ferguson. Some examples:
Bill O’Reilly exploded with animosity toward Ferguson protesters: "Look, I hate this “no justice, no peace” slogan. ...Whose justice you talking about? Yours? Al Sharpton’s justice? If you want Al Sharpton’s justice, you’re gonna have anarchy in this country, alright?"
In a rant attacking President Obama for speaking out on behalf of those concerned about police killings of African Americans, Jeanine Pirro complained, “Why don’t you act like you’re the president of all of us?”
Megyn Kelly was dismissive and shouted at Democratic Rep. Al Green as he tried to politely discuss the Congressional Black Caucus’ “hands up” protests over the Ferguson grand jury.
Sean Hannity was shockingly rude to Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton when she attempted to explain her position on the issues raised by the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
When New York Governor Andrew Cuomo discussed possible police reforms with Jay Z, Fox News and New York Post described the black icon, entertainer and business mogul as a “former crack dealer.”
Fox’s coverage of the Ferguson protests has repeatedly included Mark Fuhrman as a supposedly neutral police expert and without disclosing his record of racist antipathy toward African Americans.
Fox has also repeatedly turned to J. Christian Adams for discussions about Attorney General Eric Holder’s civil rights investigations into the deaths of Brown and Garner. This despite Adams having leveled entirely bogus allegations that Holder’s Department of Justice had failed to prosecute New Black Panthers because of racial preference. In discussing Ferguson and Garner, Adams accused the Obama administration of “invoking (racial) history that is way in the rearview mirror.” He also said, “These are folks who want to always blame law and order, the police. They’re always on the side of the lawless.”
Shortly after Rudy Giuliani insulted an African American professor by saying, “White police officers wouldn’t be there if you weren’t killing each other,” Hannity called on him to discuss the Ferguson grand jury decision.
Stay tuned!
And again, I urge anyone organizing protests at Fox News to have calm, prepared answers to the nonsensical provocations that are sure to be thrust at anyone daring to speak up. The entire concept of “anti-dis-establishment-arian-ism” comes from the old pro-Nixon groups. They will certainly come at any protestors from the angriest POVs possible, including the idea that the protestors are against free speech, or are trying to restrict Fox News’ ability to represent a segment of the population.
Only a calm prepared response can deal with the silliness that someone like a Jesse Watters or a Steven Crowder will try to inject into these situations. I strongly urge any protestors not to play into the intentions of such provocateurs.
The useless suits may have the reporter remove the Fox “News” logo mic flag from their microphone to fool the protesters, or they may send one of their so-called “junior” reporters since protesters won’t recognize them.
These frauds do have black employees working at this so-called network. Usually, the suits have them hidden somewhere behind the cameras, or working as bookers, greeters, and other low-end jobs. Don’t want to offend the racist audience with too many black faces. Harris and The Dash are only tokens. The rest are predominantly blonde females-for marketing purposes.
If confronted by Fox “News” reporters, every protester should turn the interview around and ask why Fox “News” prefers to hire blonde female hosts and contributors than minority reporters and hosts.
We suggest protesters hold their rallies on the public streets. Employees need to enter and exit the building for lunch, or to leave work. The building also has non-News Corporation/21st Century Fox tenants on 40 + floors that have nothing to do with these frauds.
We recommend protesters carry signs connecting Fox “News” and Hannocchio with Cliven Bundy and his anti-law enforcement supporters, and the murders of the two Las Vegas police officers. The useless suits at this fraudulent “news” channel are trying to distance themselves from Bundy. The signs will remind conservatives of how Hannocchio and the Foxes threw Cliven Bundy under the bus. If done right, the media will pick this up, and the Bundy saga will be in the news cycle again.
NOTE TO PROTESTERS
If you are interviewed by any news station, bring up the two police officers shot in Las Vegas, and the Bundy scandal. Add Hannocchio’s name during the interview.
Want to stir up dust? Question why these frauds would invite ex-con Bernie Kerik on their shows. Remind the masses of what he’s done.

To which I reply: In what universe does it matter that Fox News has black people on the payroll? Given that I can produce literally hundreds of examples where they produce a racist argument against black people for not seeing it their way that no one I write for would even touch, as well as everything they have… It’s the equivalent of that guy who makes one self-hating black friend, so that he can call every other black guy on the street the N word, and say “well, he has no issue!”.
And if we’re gonna play the game of that the protesters have to leave Fox News alone because they have black employees, then why can’t we call out the black employees for their lack of effort in calling Fox News on this? Because they work for Fox News? I mean, it’s not like they’re gonna be safe once the mentality is an institution, and it’s against Ailes’ interest to have them under his umbrella. They think people like Koldys and Malkin are gonna still defend them when the operative words “Fox News Employee” are gone?
Seriously…
doors, I fully agree. In my original post, I suggested readers go to the protest but after reading that the protesters plan a shutdown, I revised it to just reporting on it. I think protests at Fox are long overdue but I also think gathering and chanting and even a die in on the sidewalk is far more effective ultimately than trying to block the entrance or exit.
Absolutely they should bring up the hypocrisy of supporting Cliven Bundy while condemning protestors in Ferguson and New York. Absolutely they should bring up the hyprocrisy of Bill O’Reilly ginning up violent hatred at George Tiller while condemning angry family members of Michael Brown. Absolutely they should bring up the serious problems in some of the Grand Jury testimony being cited on the air by Sean Hannity, and they should be specific about which testimony they’re challenging. By doing that, they’ll leave Watters with footage I don’t think he’ll dare show to Bill O’Reilly.
And I’d recommend that they have their own cameras rolling the second Fox News brings their cameras outside.
Hopefully the organizers will be able to deliver their message and maintain and have a peaceful demonstration and not allow any knuckleheads to destroy property which is exactly what they’ll (Fox) focus on and use to discredit the protesters and the message will be lost.
I also hope they don’t block entrance in the same way I don’t approve of Operation Rescue doing the same.
In order for this to be successful it must be done peacefully and then perhaps the message will be heard.
“I hope that the chant “F*** Fox News” rings out loud and clear on January 2.”
So do I — BUT I’m starting to get a VERY bad feeling in my gut truman. Somehow, in light of the current tensions in New York City, I have a gut feeling Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Murdoch) and his ever-faithful corpulent elephant-sized toady Jabba the Ailes are going to SICK THE GESTAPO (i.e. the cops who support that neo-Nazi loudmouth Patrick Lynch) on those courageous protesters and JAIL THEM IN POSITIVELY SUBHUMANE CONDITIONS just like they did on those who PEACEFULLY DEMONSTRATED against Der Fuehrer II (i.e. George Dumbya Bush) and his fellow NAZIS during the 2004 Republican National Convention that was held at Madison Square Garden.
IF IT WALKS LIKE A NAZI, TALKS LIKE A NAZI, AND ACTS LIKE A NAZI……well, us THINKING people who post here regularly (including me) know the rest.
’Nuff said.
