Megyn Kelly found the Ferguson protests a perfect excuse to reunite with her old race-baiting pal, J. Christian Adams, for a new round of racial attacks on Attorney General Eric Holder. Kelly has a long – and discredited – history of accusing Holder of being too partial to African Americans. In the words of Fox’s St. Ronald Reagan, there she goes again.
In 2010, Kelly used Adams as a source for an orchestrated series of accusations – over at least 45 segments - that Holder had refused to prosecute some members of the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation because they’re black. Even though no voter intimidation had occurred.
As I wrote in June, about a previous Kelly reunion with Adams:
Kelly abruptly dropped her attacks once she was confronted on the air for her race baiting a phony story. The story was later discredited but Kelly - who advocates “personal responsibility” for others - didn’t seem to think she owed her viewers much of an explanation.
Last night, Kelly covered up Adams' – and her own – history of dissembling on the matter. In an agitated voice of suspicion, she “asked” whether Holder “can be trusted to obtain justice” in Ferguson. The real question is whether Kelly can be trusted to discuss it. So far, the evidence reveals not.
Kelly introduced Adams as “a former Justice Department attorney who worked for Eric Holder and he is author of the book (whose subtitle is) ‘exposing the racial agenda of the Obama Justice Department.’”
What kind of “fair” journalist doesn’t mention that this guy was also behind weeks of racial attacks on our first black Attorney General that proved unfounded? Or, if Kelly thinks Adams’ accusations were legitimate, would not bring them up again here? Answer: A Fox News “fair” journalist.
“Of course, they shouldn’t be trusting Eric Holder,” Adams told Kelly. He went on to say that Holder carries around a card saying he “shares common cause with the black criminal.”
If you ask me, it’s clear that Holder does it (assuming this latest accusation is true) to keep himself humble and understandng. But Kelly, instead of asking why, emitted a shrill “What?!?” for maximum disparagement.
Adams made the dubious claim that the Holder Justice Department recently behaved in a way that was “off the charts illegal” in New Orleans. But instead of asking for any facts, Kelly just “wondered” if Holder has “a thumb on the scale.”
As if she doesn't.
