It's not sexual harassment, but Fox Business host Charles Payne has been sued by Hachette Book Group for "cashing in on a $50,000 advance and failing to deliver a manuscript." He was supposed to have done so by February 1, 2016. 

Bill O’Reilly tried to blame a left-wing plot for his firing (just pay no attention to his own hideous behavior) but his departure is probably at least partly due to the media-savvy efforts of attorney Lisa Bloom. She explained on today’s Democracy Now that she had a media strategy to get him fired and how she executed it.

The New York Times reported today that Bill O’Reilly received “up to $25 million” in severance pay after he was forced out of his job yesterday in the wake of “mounting allegations” of harassment. That’s eye-opening enough. But consider how that’s nearly twice as much as was paid to his victims.

Fox News announced on yesterday’s Special Report that Bill O’Reilly had left the network due to what Howard Kurtz called “mounting allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct.” But on the newly-renamed “The Factor” show that was formerly “The O’Reilly Factor,” the news about the host’s departure sounded more like a eulogy than any stock taking.

"It's not that big of a surprise," Colbert said about O'Reilly's departure. "We all saw this coming at us, like an old man cornering an intern in the break room."

A former Fox News regular, Professor Caroline Heldman, has come forward as another O’Reilly accuser. According to attorney Lisa Bloom, Heldman called in a complaint to Fox News’ hotline today.

In an article about Bill O’Reilly’s departure from Fox News, the New York Times team whose investigation set in motion the scandal that unseated him found that Fox News contributor Jehmu Greene had reportedly been ignored by a network executive when she requested a meeting to discuss harassment she had experienced from O'Reilly.

Dear Donald Trump. While you may be personally mourning the downfall of your milkshake BFF Bill O’Reilly, whom you think did nothing wrong, you can take comfort in the fact that even more Trump cheerleaders will now be in Fox News prime time.

According to New York’s Gabriel Sherman, Bill O’Reilly’s tenure at Fox News is finished. It’s only a matter of figuring out the money, the mechanics and who will replace him.
