Huckabee: I'm Beginning To Think North Korea Has More Freedom Than U.S.

First, it was Russia the Fox News conservatives kept slobbering over. Now, it's North Korea. That is, if recent remarks by Mike Huckabee are any indication.

Hume Echoes O’Reilly: Obama And Holder Use Race As Shield And Sword To Attack

Posted by Ellen · April 13, 2014 5:33 PM · 6 reactions

Fox News’ Brit Hume echoed colleague Bill O’Reilly – with help from Fox host Chris Wallace – when he snubbed the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act in favor of a racial attack on President Obama and Eric Holder. In this case, Hume complained, “Both Eric Holder and Barack Obama have benefited politically enormously from the fact that they are African-American.” Hume later added, “(T)o those two men race has been both a shield and a sword that they have used effectively to defend themselves and to attack others.”

Fox Nation Vs. Fox News Latino: 'Illegal Immigrants' Vs. 'DREAMer Teachers'

Posted by Priscilla · April 13, 2014 3:45 PM · 2 reactions

In take taking down conservative culture clubber Brent Bozell's claim, during Megyn Kelly's show, that the Spanish language Univision is biased because they support the ACA, Jon Stewart used the opportunity to highlight the dramatic difference between how Fox Nation and Fox News Latino cover issues related to Hispanics. This difference is manifest in articles, currently on both websites, about the Denver school district's recruitment of teachers who came to this country without documentation but who now have status under "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals." The difference in how Fox Nation and Fox News Latino is like the difference between black and white - and, in the case of Fox News, this figure of speech is quite literal!

‘Freedom Fighter’ Sarah Palin Lectures President Obama On The Constitution

Sarah Palin visited Fox News’ Cashin’ In show this morning. It’s supposed to be a business show. But instead of talking business, host Eric Bolling described Palin as a “freedom fighter” and asked her which constitutional amendment is “most at risk” thanks to President Obama.

Hannity Deliberately Inflames Nevada Ranch Conflict – While Professing Concern For Safety

Posted by Ellen · April 12, 2014 6:23 PM · 18 reactions

Sean Hannity continued his irresponsible and dangerous attempts to aggravate an armed Nevada ranch conflict last night. Oh, he made a few statements about hoping the situation would be resolved peacefully. But his open sympathy for the rancher defying the federal government, his demonization of the federal government and his frequent suggestions that the Nevada rancher is or is about to be the victim of uncalled-for violence all amounted to the behavior of a civil warmonger.

Mike Huckabee Isn't Homopobic But A Good Christian Unlike Our Lying President!

Posted by Priscilla · April 12, 2014 3:06 PM · 9 reactions

There's no party like a persecuted Christian party and Fox News knows how to bring it. Last night, on The Factor, professional Christian Laura Ingrham whined about how "the elites" are trying to say that "traditionalist" Christians are anti-gay. (Ya Think!) Her guest, fellow professional Christian and Fox host Mike Huckabee defended those poor Christians and explained how he isn't homophobic, but just a good bible believing Christian who, unlike our phony Christian President, will never waiver in his homophobia beliefs about "traditional marriage." Whether it's the "war on Christmas" or the "culture war," The Factor is always ready to fight.

On Fox & Friends: Muslim Guest Smears Muslim Parents And 'Hyper-Secular, Anti-Religious' Leftist 'Allies'

Posted by Priscilla · April 11, 2014 8:15 PM · 2 reactions

As a platform for those who seek to denigrate Islam, Fox News never wastes an opportunity to denigrate Islam. Fox was provided with one such opportunity, recently, when a group of Muslim parents, in Dearborn, Michigan, objected to school flyers which promoted an Easter egg hunt at a local church. Fox's perpetually outraged Christian, Todd Starnes, got the hate fest started. Official Foxpriest, Fr. Jonathan Morris gently scolded the Muslim parents for making much ado about nothing. Hannity and Bob Beckel used the issue to foment fear of jihadists. Bill O'Reilly lied when he claimed that the parents object to the actual egg hunt. So who better to provide the Muslim perspective than the anti-Muslim Dr. Zuhdi Jasser who used the occasion to issue a string of vicious ad-hominems toward the parents and in so doing demonstrate why he is a "validator" of lies and propaganda directed towards Muslims and how Fox is his "echo chamber."

Why Did These Two African American Guests Give O’Reilly A Pass On Race Baiting Eric Holder?

Posted by Ellen · April 11, 2014 6:22 PM · 2 reactions

In my last post, I wrote that it was no big surprise that Bill O’Reilly used the occasion of the Civil Rights Act’s 50th anniversary to launch a racial attack on Attorney General Eric Holder last night. It’s a tradition for Fox News to “recognize” civil rights events this way. But what’s the excuse of the supposedly liberal, African American guests ostensibly there to debate O’Reilly? Their milquetoast-y blindness to the race-baiting elephant in the room would have been comical if the stakes were not ultimately so serious.

O’Reilly ‘Honors’ Civil Rights Anniversary With A Racial Attack On Attorney General Eric Holder

Posted by Ellen · April 11, 2014 5:16 PM · 2 reactions

oreilly_screen_grab.png

Instead of discussing the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act or President Obama’s address about it yesterday, Bill O’Reilly seized upon some comments by Attorney General Eric Holder and pointed the finger of racism at him. This was not too surprising. It has become something of a Fox News tradition to “recognize” civil rights milestones with racial attacks on African Americans.
