Stephen Colbert Mocks Fox News' Democratic Convention Coverage
There was so much noise and enthusiasm, "The Fox News people could barely hear themselves saying it sucked!"

On yesterday’s Your World, James Roosevelt Jr. and Neil Cavuto and sparred about whether or not corporations are people. Referring to Elizabeth Warren’s speech to the Democratic convention, Cavuto asked, “Do you believe this ‘corporations aren’t people?’ I mean, what’s staffing them, what, computers?”

Is there anything more cynical than presenting Karl Rove as some kind of independent analyst to comment upon the Democratic National Convention? That’s exactly what Fox News has been doing. Last night, The O’Reilly Factor, that supposed zone of “no spin,” called upon Rove to dissect Bill Clinton’s speech the night before. There was no discussion about how Rove just happens to be a power player in the Republican party.Path: p
Read moreBill O'Reilly Attacks Sandra Fluke With Bogus Claim That She Supports Taxpayer Funded Transgender Surgery
I don't know if it's because Bill O'Reilly's former producer refused to submit to his amorous advances, but Bill O'Reilly does seem to have a problem with strong women who stand up for their rights. Since Sandra Fluke's speech before a group of Democratic members of congress, O'Reilly has added his voice to the circle of right wing male jerks whose resentment of Fluke's advocacy for women's reproductive rights resulted in a cacophony of slut shaming. O'Reilly suggested that, rather than balloons, condoms would drop on Fluke during her speech at the Democratic Convention. He claimed that she "smirked" during her speech. And during last night's "Talking Points," he attacked Fluke again. But rather than just engage in insulting personal invective, he seems to have told a flat out lie about Fluke's alleged support for taxpayer supported gender reassignment surgery.

During its incessant coverage of the removal of the word "God" from the Democratic National Committee platform, Fox News sometimes played "Losing My Religion" by R.E.M. But, as Raw Story reports, the rock group was not amused. Their music publisher sent a cease and desist letter demanding that Fox stop using their song. Furthermore, Michael Stipe, the group's lead singer, had some choice words for Fox News and their brand of reporting.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Has No Problem With Limits On Women's Reproductive Rights - Cuz Women Still Have Reproductive Rights!
As News Hounds Ellen pointed out, Bill O'Reilly was doing his best cranky, old man imitation at last night's Democratic Convention. He was particularly incensed about the consistent defense of abortion rights because he couldn't wrap his overly inflated cranium around the Democratic narrative that our reproductive rights are being threatened. In supporting his claim that these rights are not under assault (AS IF), he made the factually correct statements that birth control is legal and "if you want any kind of birth control device, you can get it." But here's the thing. Thanks to O'Reilly and his pro-life pals, who just hate the idea that those slutty sluts are having wild sex for recreation and not procreation, you may be able to "get" birth control; but your access to it is being made more difficult. Let me splain it to Bill because I don't want him to be confused!

Bill O’Reilly Tacitly Acknowledges Fox’s Anti-Democratic Bias
Bill O’Reilly has been obsessing this week about whether or not Fox News personnel have been received hospitably at the Democratic National Convention. Not because he worries that Democrats have an incorrect view of Fox but because he’s going to be there today. In my book, that’s as good as admitting that Fox News is geared for Republicans.
Read moreHannity's To Brokaw: I'm The Only Outspoken Conservative On Fox News
Last night, Sean Hannity interviewed NBC’s Tom Brokaw. Hannity was in deferential mode, as opposed to his bullyboy mode. At about 6:30 into the video, Hannity began complaining about liberal media bias. Brokaw began to disagree saying that Fox has “a bias to the right.” But Hannity interrupted to say, “I’m the only conservative – outspoken conservative here.”
