Fox's Allen West Calls Eric Holder 'A Bigger Threat' Than Al Qaeda
Chalk up Allen West as the latest unhinged Fox News commenter. In a fundraising email for his political action committee, West showed a photo of Attorney General Eric Holder next to a photo of Al Qaeda's Ayman al-Zawahiri and asked which one was scarier. As you might have guessed, West decided it was Holder.
Read moreFox Nation Uses Anthony Weiner To Accuse Democrats Of Waging A War On Women
You know that the Democrats' accusation that Republicans were waging a war on women must have been a success because Fox Nation and the New York Post were willing to twist themselves into a pretzel using Anthony Weiner's mayoral candidacy to accuse the Democrats of waging a war on women. Well, to be fair, it wasn't just Weiner but Elliot Spitzer and some other New York City politicians. But, of course, poor treatment of women is not just a Democratic problem. Nor is it what anybody was saying the war on women was about.
Read moreRep. McDermott To Megyn Kelly: Stop Putting (Republican) Words In My Mouth About IRS Hearing
Megyn Kelly was every bit a mouthpiece for the GOP today as she conducted what purported to be an interview of Democratic Congressman Jim McDermott in the wake of Fox News' lionization of Paul Ryan “wiping the floor” with McDermott over his comments at an IRS hearing yesterday. She was so overbearing and badgering that McDermott roared at her to stop putting words in his mouth.
Read more‘Targeted’ Right-Wing Groups Play the IRS Victim Card on Fox Prime Time
Fox and their allies in Congress are going all out to make a major scandal out of the shenanigans at the IRS, but it’s sounding more and more like another partisan whinefest to your humble servant. Yesterday conservative "community service" groups told a House Ways and Means Committee hearing how the IRS had targeted them, and then last night they went to Fox Prime Time to tell their stories again. Greta Van Susteren hosted Kevin Kookogey from Linchpins of Liberty, which calls itself an "educational organization" and aims to develop leadership among younger people (though it seems to have not held any major events since 2011); and John Eastman from the National Organization for Marriage, whose “community services,” according to its Web site, include endorsing a candidate for NYC Mayor and lobbying to retain the traditional definition of marriage in Illinois.
Read moreEric Bolling: More Single Working Moms Mean More Abortions - Seriously?
Eric Bolling doesn't have a uterus and he, reportedly, makes between $10 and $15 million annually. Yet, he seems, like his fellow well paid and uterus-free Fox colleagues, to have a problem with the fact that women are the sole income earners in 40% of American households, many of them headed by single mothers. While the Lou Dobbs sausage fest lamented that this illustrates the demise of American society at the hands of those nasty bitches who don't know their god-given and, according to Eric Erickson, scientific place, Fox's Eric Bolling took the right wing whine even further, He lamented that the breakdown of the American family means more single moms in the workforce and this leads to - wait for it - more abortions! So I guess in Bolling's warped, alternate universe, things were so much better when women stayed home in dysfunctional and abusive marriages because that prevented them from having abortions. Ah, the good old days of barefoot and pregnant. Seriously, he not only plays one on TV but he truly is an idiot!

Bill O’Reilly shamelessly race baited tonight as he turned what purported to be a discussion about violence in schools into an attack on minorities.
Read moreMegyn Kelly Promotes Dubious Assertion That Ft. Hood Shooter Will Psych Out Witnesses – And That They Might Lynch Him In Return
Megyn Kelly’s “fair and balanced” way of covering the news that Major Nidal Hasan, aka the “Fort Hood Shooter,” had been granted the right to represent himself at his upcoming trial was to promote the idea, along with one of Hasan’s victims, that he had been granted some kind of special privilege. That was bad enough given that Kelly is an attorney and should know better. But she also helped promote the victim’s dubious argument that, thanks to the ruling, Hasan’s psychiatric credentials would allow him to play some kind of mind games with witnesses and trial watchers so as to “push those buttons” that would trigger the victims’ PTSD and “rally extreme jihadists” during the trial. To top it off, she didn’t mind when her guest hinted he and others might lynch Hasan if that happened.
Read moreFox Business Refuses To Run Ad Calling For Dobbs, Erickson And Williams To Be Fired
After Eric Erickson and Lou Dobbs made headlines on Fox Business Network with their sexist comments over breadwinner Moms last week, the women's rights group UltraViolet developed an ad calling on FBN to "retire" those two plus Juan Williams who was also in the segment. "Spare them the pain of equality," the ad says facetiously. But Fox executives refused to run the ad, saying that airing its own footage would somehow violate copyright.
Read moreBill O'Reilly, Adam Carolla Attack The Transgendered?
The right wing, for whom Fox News serves as a mouthpiece, believes that acceptance of the transgender community is a sign of how the "gay agenda" is out to ruin America as we know it. As documented by LGBT advocacy group, GLAAD, Fox News is more than willing to advance this bigotry. They cite "offensive and dehumanizing" comments made by Bill O'Reilly about a transgender prison inmate as well as his misrepresentation of trans-inclusive guidelines for Maine public schools - a segment in which he mocked a transgender student. O'Reilly has also opined that the *transgender student on Glee is encouraging teens to "experiment" in "alternative lifestyles." So in keeping with this pattern of disrespect, he and Adam Carolla talked about a Wisconsin school event that had nothing to do with transgender awareness - but Bill and Adam worked their alchemy and made it so and in so doing, promoted right wing paranoia about anti-bullying programs, in addition to some requisite teacher bashing. As vintage O'Reilly agitprop, it was perfection!

If any Fox News interns arrived with the idea that they'd be working at a "fair and balanced" network, host Steve Doocy must have set them straight, if his tweet from yesterday afternoon is to be believed.
