O'Reilly Suffers A Setback In His Persecuted-Christian Schtick
Charles Krauthammer burst O’Reilly’s "Creeping Secular-Progressivism" balloon last night. O'Reilly tried to rile up Krauthammer over a billboard posted in Times Square saying, "Who needs Christ during Christmas? Nobody." But Krauthammer found no cause for alarm over that or any of the other "outrages" O'Reilly threw out in a futile effort to prove his "traditional values" victimhood. (H/T Andrew M.)

A Greenpeace ad showing Santa Claus at a melting North Pole was the focus of a Your World discussion today. In reality, the ad was little more than an excuse to deny climate change – and smear those who don’t. The guest was Phelim McAleer, a climate-change denier. That, of course, makes him a Fox News fave.

Fox News, ever on the lookout for African Americans they can racially disparage, has found a new target: MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry. With her tongue somewhat in cheek, Perry had the racial gall to make an analogy between “ObamaCare” and the N-word. At least three of Fox’s top race-baiters, Sean Hannity, Megyn Kelly and Eric Bolling, ignored the essence of Harris-Perry's commentary in order to paint her as some kind of anti-white nutjob.

As the mouthpiece for the virulently homophobic religious right, it's not surprising that the "Fair & Balanced" Fox News is fully on board with propaganda about how those evil gays are just trying to ruin the livelihood of Jesus loving, homo hating Christians. In September, the gang on the Fox & Friends curvy couch were in full agreement that Christian bakers had every right to discriminate against gay bullies because, ya know, religious freedom. Flash forward to December and America's flagship show for persecuted, heterosexual Christians is now championing the cause of a Christian baker whose refusal to bake a cake for a gay couple was considered to be a violation of Colorado law. As articulated by Elisabeth Hasselbeck, in addition to this being a violation of religious freedom, it's causing "THE DEATH OF FREE ENTERPRISE!" Oh, the horror, the horror!!!
Read moreTodd Starnes Urges Twitter Followers To Harass Air Force Base Over Nativity Scene
Todd Starnes' world is an apocalyptic one in which Toddles and the forces of Jesus are in constant battle with the forces of darkness. Chief among Toddles' nefarious adversaries is Mikey Weinstein, head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation who, according to Toddles, is making life miserable for good Christian soldiers who just want everybody else to know about Jesus regardless of the time, place, and audience. And now that Shaw Air Force Base has, after communicating with Mr. Weinstein, taken down a Nativity Scene not connected to a chapel, Toddles is full of Southern fried indignation about how this is the latest example of Weinstein's attempt to "eradicate Christianity" from the military who, like their heathen Commander-in-Chief, hate the Baby Jesus.
Read moreBill O'Reilly's 'Nice' War On Christmas Elicits Death Threats?
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas with holiday lights, music, and Bill O'Reilly's annual rant about how evil atheists are trying to destroy Christmas in order to promote their gay, abortion, and drug agendas onto innocent, Jesus loving Americans. Part of O'Reilly's "nice" tradition includes attacks on those whom Bill sees as enemies of Christmas, such as the governors of RI and Washington whose worker had to deal with harassing phone calls and mail from Bill's Jesus loving fans. This year was no different. I don't know if O'Reilly started the media "controversy" which led to the death threats. But I do know that, as he did with the murdered abortion provider, Dr. Tiller, O'Reilly used his national media perch to contribute to a climate of hatred which doesn't exactly fit into the Christian Christmas message of peace on earth. Go figure!

Remember Brian Lewis, the ex “right hand man” to Fox News chief Roger Ailes who threatened to spill secrets after being fired and escorted out of the building? You may recall that Lewis was allegedly fired for “financial issues and other performance problems.” However, Politico reported that Lewis had been suspected of leaking information to writer Gabriel Sherman, author of the forthcoming unauthorized biography of Ailes. Now comes word from Gawker that Lewis has been paid $8 million not to talk.

Read moreDick Cheney Lectures Obama About Credibility In The Middle East
Once the Fox & Friends hosts finished slobbering over Dick Cheney this morning, they moved on to trashing ObamaCare. Naturally, that included yet another rehashing of President Obama saying, “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” And according to “Iraq had weapons of mass destruction” Cheney, that was also why we should not trust the Obama administration's dealings with Iran.
Read morePot Meet Kettle? Bill O'Reilly Thinks Atheists Are Angry 'Cheapshotters!'
While Bill O'Reilly claims that his War on Christmas is a longstanding "nice" tradition, it is really the angry rantings of an angry and deluded man. He actually believes that this bogus apocalyptic conflict is being waged by angry, atheist forces who are trying to bring about the demise of America with their advocacy for gay marriage, abortion rights, and drug legalization, all of which, according to Bill violate "Judeo-Christian" tradition." And Bill's anger goes beyond his "war" as demonstrated by his cheap-shots at anyone and everyone who does not subscribe to his hetero-normative and Christian views. But Bill is trying to understand why the atheists are so angry. Friday night, he sought to psychoanalyze those imaginary forces aligned against his favorite holiday - and in so doing launched one of his patented, but Holy Ghost inspired, cheap shots against a NY Times writer. I guess Bill is just so overblown with a sense of self importance, he doesn't realize his extraordinary cognitive dissonance - dare we say hypocrisy?!
