GOP Civil War! Huckabee Goes To Bat For Akin
Mike Huckabee - who is speaking at the Republican Convention next week - has written a letter not just standing up for Rep. Todd Akin but slamming his fellow Republicans for trying to run him out of the Missouri Senate race. Priscilla noted that Huckabee bonded with Akin on the radio show a few days ago. This letter takes things to a whole new level.

Is Fox News’ “objective” reporter Jim Angle on the Romney/Ryan payroll? If not, he should be. Because it’s hard to think how his report “questioning” whether Obama’s attacks on the Republican Medicare plan are accurate could be any more biased. During his “report,” Angle might as well have waved a “Vote Romney” banner and told us he can’t wait to use Ryan’s Medicare “premium support” plan.

There are some certainties in life. To quote a famous Fox savant, the tides go in; the tides go out. And whenever Fox News' "fundamentalist barking dog" and gay pride parade voyeur, Todd Starnes, posts an article, about persecuted Christian and evil atheists, it inevitably makes its way to Fox Nation and Fox & Friends - a show that never wastes an opportunity to showcase those persecuted Christians who bravely endure those evil, secular slings and arrows of outrageous atheists. This morning, Jesus' BFF's on the curvy couch brought us the newest, at least according to Starnes, outrage about how Jesus' enemies are trying to silence public prayer, at public school football games, in Jesus loving, homo hating Mississippi. As always, Jesus (who did have a problem with those who pray publicly) must be weeping! As always, while the segment was heavy on Jesus, it was light on facts which, I guess, makes Jesus happy? And given that Brian Kilmeade wants Christians to disobey the law, I guess Jesus is jumping for joy?!

How do we know that the Rep. Todd Akin debacle is going to be devastating for Mitt Romney? Dick Morris called it a “big plus for Romney” on the O’Reilly Factor last night. Kind of like Hurricane Katrina was going to be a “huge positive for Bush,” eh?
Read moreFox Nation Mocks Obama For Talking About Respect and Tolerance In 1991
How desperate was Fox Nation for a new angle to attack President Obama? So desperate they pulled out his yearbook from Harvard Law School. Their great smoking gun? You may have to sit down to hear this… in 1991, he posted a quote calling for “mutual respect and tolerance.” Oh, the horror!
Read moreIs This Poll the 'Slaughter' Fox Nation Claims It Is?
Yeegads, someone at the Fox Nation likes to create big screaming headlines! Take this post, which is titled "Obama Slaughtered in Latest Gallup Poll." If you read the body of the text, gentle reader, you'll find the poll doesn't give Obama brilliant ratings (especially not with respect to the economy). If you link to Gallup's own story (Fox Nation generously provides the link) you will find that Obama's overall job rating is 45%. Bill Clinton, the past president with the highest rating, came in at only 53%. Would you call that a "slaughter"?

Cavuto Gushes Over Democrat-Turned-Republican For Romney
On yesterday’s Your World, Neil Cavuto spoke with one of his favorite politicians, Artur Davis, who seconded President Obama's nomination four years ago but now will be a “key speaker” on behalf of Mitt Romney at the upcoming Republican convention. Cavuto said, "I've always thought your shift was a seminal event right up there with Douglas Wilder, the former Virginia governor, attacking Joe Biden for the famous ‘chain and shackles’ comment. In other words, very reasoned and reasonable Democrats."
Read morePaul Ryan Beefs Up His Foreign Policy Cred – By Warmongering Against Iran
If you liked what Paul Ryan helped the Bush administration do in Iraq, you’ll love what he's cheering for in Iran. That was the message from Ryan’s campaign stop on the Hannity show last night where Sean Hannity credulously welcomed Ryan’s boast that voting for the (misbegotten) Iraq war – and going to the funerals that ensued – gave him enough foreign policy gravitas to talk tough and support an Israeli strike against Iran.
