Bill O’Reilly trotted out Karl Rove tonight for a Republican twofer of absolving the Bush administration of any responsibility for the mess in Iraq – including invading the country under false pretenses in the first place – and blaming President Obama for all the problems.

Fox’s Martha MacCallum has developed a serious case of Iraq amnesia. Gone is George W. Bush’s invasion of the country under false pretenses, the declaration that it would improve the safety and stability of the world and, of course, “Mission Accomplished.” Now, the current crisis in Iraq is President Obama’s fault – apparently for not being more like Bush.

Fox’s Your World Show used the awful violence in Iraq as a pretext for a Keystone XL Pipeline infomercial. The discussion began with a Fox News Alert in which host Neil Cavuto announced the latest alarming developments in Iraq and their effects on the economy. “What does this mean and where does this go?” he asked. Fox News translation: “How can we use this to promote our political agenda?”

When it comes to patriotism, Fox News is king of them all, y'all. In its red, white, and blue pantheon of objects of patriotic worship, Fox reveres American soldiers and, during George Bush's glorious Iraq war, considered any criticism of that crusade to be an attack on the troops. Yes, Fox loves the troops - except for Bowe Bergdahl who, on Fox, has been condemned as a "deserter" despite the lack of due process. But in condemning Bergdahl, one Fox pundit also informed us that US soldiers are cold blooded killers who will shoot one of their own if they deem that person to be unworthy of wearing the uniform. True story. That's what super leg lady Kimberly Guilfoyle said. Who knew?!

The crisis in Iraq was the top story on Fox News Sunday today.  But instead of a truly fair and balanced discussion, the only guest was Republican Congressman Mike Rogers who teamed up with host Chris Wallace for maximum President Obama blaming.

As the media mouthpiece for the patriarchy pimping radical, Christian right, Fox News hates feminists because how dare a bunch of man hating, selfish bitches demand stuff like equal pay for equal work and reproductive rights. So in keeping with the right wing message that things were so much better when women knew their place, Fox has provided a platform for Suzanne Venker, niece of the anti-feminist Phyllis Schlafly, to diss feminists and urge women to submit to men. And on this morning's Fox & Friends, the newest independent woman hater, "Princeton Mom" Susan Patton spilled her anti-feminist bile all over the curvy couch. She and her new friends were outraged about nasty feminists who set up a hashtag to diss Father's Day. Turns out that the hashtag is a hoax developed by those who wanted to make feminists look bad; but that didn't get in the way of the anti-feminist propaganda! 

In the annals of history, the name Judith Miller, will almost certainly be associated with "drumbeat for invading Iraq under false pretenses." She was working for the "liberal media" at the time, the New York Times, to be specific. But when she left, she went to Fox News. That was bad enough. But now, with the crisis in Iraq growing ever more serious, Fox called on her to attack  to analyze the faults of the rest of the media in reporting on it.

As a proponent of traditional Catholic values, the divorced Bill O'Reilly believes that same sex marriage is part of a vast, left wing effort to destroy America as he knows it. (White, Christian, male dominated) Back in 2009, he ranted about how same sex marriage will lead to recognition of interspecies marriage, legalized polygamy, and demands for polyamorous marriage. That, of course, hasn't happened; but Bill took credit for his prognostication coming true during a discussion, with his boyz Greg Gutfeld and Bernard McGuirk, about a poly family featured on the NBC website. A quick reality check shows that "One, Big, Happy Family" wasn't an advocacy piece for poly marriage - but, hey, Bill has a message to spin and he's sticking to it, reality be damned.
