Fox's Despicably Cynical Use Of Judith Miller As An Iraq Expert

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on June 15, 2014 · Flag

In the annals of history, the name Judith Miller, will almost certainly be associated with "drumbeat for invading Iraq under false pretenses." She was working for the "liberal media" at the time, the New York Times, to be specific. But when she left, she went to Fox News. That was bad enough. But now, with the crisis in Iraq growing ever more serious, Fox called on her to attack  to analyze the faults of the rest of the media in reporting on it.

Huffington Post nails it:

That would be the same Judith Miller whose credulous, false reporting about Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction made her perhaps the most infamous example of the press's failure in the run-up to that war.

The clip below is proof positive that Fox's only interest in "fairness and balance" is to make sure that its own right-wing Republican world view is relentlessly promoted.

The failure of suck-up Judy and her ilk to call out Dumbya and Dickhead’s lies about Iraqi WMDs cost us thousands of American lives and trillions of dollars.
