Fox News' Gregg Jarrett Arrested After Drunken Airport Incident

Posted by Ellen · May 22, 2014 3:24 PM · 11 reactions

It looks like Fox News' Gregg Jarrett has a drinking problem. Last week, TVNewser reported that he had requested - and been granted - leave from Fox News "for personal reasons." Last night, he was arrested in an airport after an incident in which police reported he was intoxicated and belligerent.

Megyn Kelly Conceals James O’Keefe’s Sleazy, Criminal History

Posted by Ellen · May 22, 2014 9:00 AM · 5 reactions

James O’Keefe may be the world’s creepiest and least credible right-wing activist. But he got a prime-time appearance on Fox’s The Kelly File tonight to discuss his latest project, a new video supposedly exposing Hollywood hypocrisy. Without any inconvenient references by host Megyn Kelly to O’Keefe’s criminal record, his dishonesty and deception nor his alleged plan to sexually humiliate a female reporter from CNN.

Sarah Palin Horns In On The Hillary Clinton 'Brain Damage' Spotlight

Posted by Ellen · May 21, 2014 11:34 PM · 11 reactions

palin_hillary.jpg

Leave it to Sarah Palin to look at all the sympathetic attention Hillary Clinton has gotten from Karl Rove’s bogus suggestion that she might have suffered brain damage – and find a way to make it about herself. Given that the two situations could not be more different, Palin may well have come up with the Worst Excuse To Play The Conservative Victim evah.

Bill O'Reilly Attacks Beyoncé Supporting Critic While Advising Us To Ignore "Nonsense'

Posted by Priscilla · May 21, 2014 7:30 PM · 6 reactions

St._Bill.jpg

The divinely inspired Bill O'Reilly obviously believes that his daily bit of sagacity ("Tip of the Day") is a way to provide us mere mortals with sound advice from he who is looking out for us. But his words ring hollow when one considers that he often doesn't follow his own advice, such as when he instructed the folks to  ignore "guttersnipes." Bill, as we well know, is pathologically incapable of ignoring his critics whom he subsequently attacks with full rhetorical guns blasting. Last night, before his dispensation of wisdom he worked in one last smear of Beyoncé and attacked a black woman who dared to criticize his bizarre and bogus correlation between Beyoncé and black teen pregnancy. Despite his never having met his critic, he advised the folks to calmly walk away from anybody whose views are "nonsense." His recent encounter with author and columnist Gabriel Sherman would suggest that he can't practice what he preaches!

Fox Does Not Want You To Connect Climate Change To California WIldfires

Posted by Brian · May 21, 2014 5:36 PM · 1 reaction

Fox’s Your World show quickly responded to Governor Jerry Brown’s suggestion that climate change is to blame for California wildfires – via a one-sided discussion with a climate-change denier. The guest was David Kreutzer, merely introduced as being with The Heritage Foundation, without mention that he is a climate denier and that The Heritage Foundation is Koch-supported.

O’Reilly Calls Rubio’s Climate Denialism ‘Bold And Fresh’

Posted by Ellen · May 21, 2014 2:37 PM · 8 reactions

Senator Marco Rubio followed up his climate denial on ABC’s This Week with a climate denial on The O’Reilly Factor last night. Predictably, O’Reilly did not ask any pesky questions about Rubio’s ridiculous attempt to make climate denial about abortion - as he did on Sean Hannity’s radio show last week – or his inability to cite any source that led him to conclude that human activity may not be causng climate change. In fact, even though Rubio’s comments on ABC were rated false by PolitiFact, O’Reilly gave him a pass on that, too. Instead, O’Reilly lauded Rubio as some kind of original thinker.

Hannity And His White Pals Agree: Obama And Holder Should Just Shut Up About Racism!

Posted by Ellen · May 20, 2014 6:08 PM · 5 reactions

Instead of discussing the substance of recent comments on race by Attorney General Eric Holder and First Lady Michelle Obama, Sean Hannity used the opportunity to attack them. First, he gathered an all-white panel, then fed them race-baiting prompts.

Tucker Carlson Defends His White Privilege Against 'Racist' Attacks

Posted by Priscilla · May 20, 2014 3:44 PM · 3 reactions

 tucker_white_privilege.jpg

If you watch Fox News, you learn that it's hard out there for a rich, white dude. In the alternate universe of America's fair & balanced newsroom, America's rich, white, patriarchal right wing live in an alternate universe in which they are the targets of racist attacks and general oppression at the hands of jealous, greedy, lazy, dark skinned takers. As members of the persecuted, privileged class, they take particular umbrage to the term "white privilege," a sociological construct that has, since the beginnings of this nation, created a racial divide in order to maintain white hegemony. Nobody exemplifies white privilege more than trust fund baby Tucker Carlson who is mighty pissed that the filthy, Marxist masses would impugn his white privilege, a badge that he carries with pride. Once again, we're reminded of why Jon Stewart called Carlson a total "dick."

Got Hypocrisy? Mike Huckabee Thinks Gays Are Bigoted Bullies?

Posted by Priscilla · May 20, 2014 10:27 AM · 5 reactions

When LGBT groups protested against the anti-gay views of the president of Chick fil-A and the Duck Dynasty patriarch, Mike Huckabee rushed to the defense of their free speech. Recently, he did a lot of whining about how the sainted Benham brothers were robbed of their HGTV show due to gay bullies and "thought police on the left." He accused the left of showing "their insecurity of an opinion that is anything other than their own" and trampling the First Amendment rights of faith filled, biblical Americans. So one wonders what Huckabee thinks about a biblical Christian boycott against the St. Louis Rams for their sin of drafting the openly gay Michael Sam and VISA because they gave Sam an advertising contract? Shouldn't he be upset about biblical Christian bullies?
