Gretchen Carlson Joins The Syria Sour Grapes Club At Fox News

Posted by Ellen · September 10, 2013 2:48 PM · 10 reactions

This morning, Gretchen Carlson joined Chris Wallace and Sean Hannity in the Fox News Syria Sour Grapes Club. Instead of expressing any relief that a military confrontation over Syria’s chemical weapons might have just been avoided, Carlson seemed more determined to make sure that President Obama didn’t get any credit.

Todd Starnes' Most Stupid Tweet Evah? 'Obama Did Nothing' About Dr. Gosnell!

Posted by Priscilla · September 10, 2013 11:27 AM · 3 reactions

While he loves Jesus, Fox News' resident homophobe and shit stirrer Todd Starnes is just full to bursting his Southern fried arteries with hatred for the POTUS. He is particularly incensed about the president's desire to strike at Syria after chemical weapons were used on men, women, and children. Given that the Christian bachelor Starnes is adamantly "pro-life," you'd think that he would be upset about the kids who got gassed. Think again. Like so many of his fellow anti-choicers who care more about fetuses than those who have passed the birth canal and who really hate the pro-choice President (who is BTW a "friend" of Al Qaeda), Toddles makes the bizarre and offensive comparison of the gassed children to abortion. Recently, he tweeted that what goes on in Planned Parenthood is worse than the gas attack. And in his desperation to smear Obama, in another bizarre and offensive tweet, he said, "American babies had their spines severed with a pair of scissors -- and Obama did nothing." WTF???!!!!

‘Great American’ Hannity And Buchanan Heart Vladimir Putin’s Syria Actions

Posted by Ellen · September 10, 2013 9:00 AM · 5 reactions

Great American” Sean Hannity couldn’t have sounded more delighted as he announced last night that the latest Fox News polls are “devastating” for President Obama.  “Bring back the cowboy from Texas,” Hannity added. Maybe that’s because George W. Bush looked Vladimir Putin in the eye and knew in an instant what a great guy he is.

Fox Already Spinning Possible Syria Resolution As A Loss For Obama

Posted by Brian and Ellen · September 09, 2013 11:58 PM · 7 reactions

Leave it to those patriots at Fox to take the news that a possible diplomatic and political resolution may have forestalled a military strike against Syria  - and hype it as some kind of loss and bad news for President Obama.

George Zimmerman Allegedly Threatened His Wife With A Gun

Posted by Ellen · September 09, 2013 5:31 PM · 7 reactions

It seems like Sean Hannity’s BFF George Zimmerman just can’t stay out of trouble with the law. It was little more than a month ago that he was acquitted of first degree murder charges. Since then, he’s been pulled over twice for speeding, his wife pleaded guilty to perjury and now this.

Fox News Promotes GOP Student Whose Video Got Anti-GOP Professor Suspended

Posted by Priscilla · September 09, 2013 3:15 PM · 3 reactions

As I've often said, ain't no party like a Fox News right wing pity party. The most common whines, consumed during a Fox pity party, are those relating to how Christians are being persecuted by the evil librul and gay agendas. But right up there with aggrieved Christians are morally pure conservative students who are upset about evil librul college professors who say nasty things about Republicans because, you know, that's the kind hate speech that would be condemned if it were directed towards minorities and gays. Fox loves these students as their message reinforces the popular Fox meme about how "liberal indoctrination" is the cause for "the trouble with schools" - another popular Fox meme. Recently, a stalwart, young Republican Michigan State U sophomore did a sting video which purported to show a professor making offensive comments about the GOP and, OMG, the Romney's. The video went viral throughout right wing media, the prof was suspended, and - drum roll please - the heroic student, Evan Schrage, got more than his 15 minutes of fame on Fox News.

FAIR Examines Hannity's Long Record Of Bigotry Boosting

Posted by Ellen · September 09, 2013 1:49 PM · 6 reactions

There's a great article by Steve Rendall for FAIR (Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting) called, Primetime Racism on Fox: Hannity’s long history of boosting bigots. Rendall catalogs Hannity's long record of cozying up to white bigots at the same time that he remains a hypervigilant critic of black racism. I'm proud to say that several News Hounds posts are referenced. But I would commend the article to our readers regardless.

Fox News Fear Mongers About Solar Panels Catching On Fire

Posted by Ellen · September 09, 2013 11:05 AM · 4 reactions

Fox News likes to downplay (i.e. deny) the dangers of climate change but when it come to solar panels? The "fair and balanced" network wants you to think you and your house could go up in flames at any minute! I'm sure it's just a coincidence that President Obama has put forth green energy incentives to fight climate change.

Fox News Outrageous Quote Of The Week Poll - 9/1/13-9/7/13

Posted by Ellen · September 08, 2013 8:59 PM · 6 reactions

We've got another week of Fox News outrageousness to mull over and vote on. Put your thinking caps on, dear readers. Because while many can be nominated, only one can be the Outrageous Quote of the Week. Will Ann Coulter get a streak going and win for the second week in a row? Will Donald Rumsfeld grab his first award? How about Dana "Say The Pledge Of Allegiance My Way Or Hit The Highway" Perino? We've got all that and more after the jump.

Fox News, You've Got (More) Mail

Posted by Ellen · September 08, 2013 4:53 PM · 6 reactions

It's time to take our weekly glimpses into the minds (or lack thereof) of Fox News viewers, at least the ones who can't seem to tell the difference between us and the "fair and balanced" cable news network. This week's subjects: further demonization of Trayvon Martin, a complaint about the "rude" military person "poignantly" looking down as Kerry spoke. And at least one from a liberal who proves that conservatives have not cornered the market on ignorance.
