Glenn Beck announced today that he has been suffering from “a string of health issues that, quite honestly, has made me look crazy. And, quite honestly, I have felt crazy because of them.”

Remember how the Forbes on Fox show was so upset that 47% of American households pay no federal income tax? That was so 2010 ago! Now, in the wake of Republicans' advances in the midterm elections, the Forbes on Fox folks began talking up “across-the-board” tax cuts. It was all in the name of “help(ing) the struggling middle class.” But we know who will really be helped. Then, when the subject of wage hikes arose, let’s just say the panel was a lot less enthusiastic.

As the mouthpiece of the paranoid, nativist crowd that sees immigrants as an insidious threat to the American way, Fox News does love paranoid, nativist "filmmaker" and Cliven Bundy fanboy Dennis Michael Lynch whose oeuvre is all about how scary immigrants are a threat to the American way. And despite its claim of fairness and balance, Fox talkers, especially Megyn Kelly, actually view him as credible and, worse, validate his not so thinly veiled racism. Megyn Kelly even pimped his possible presidential candidacy! Last Friday night, Fox anchor Martha MacCallum showed Lynch more Fox love. But during her discussion with a pro-immigration guest, she got very, uh, argumentative. Go figure! 

On Friday, Fox News announced it had dropped Dr. Ben Carson from its pool of paid contributors now that he has produced a self-promoting documentary in support of a presidential run. Over the weekend, Fox's media critic Howard Kurtz praised the move and suggested, albeit ever so timidly, that host Mike Huckabee should maybe be removed from the payroll, too.

Fox News’ Trace Gallagher put forth such a sanitized picture of immigration vigilante Jim Gilchrist last week that it would be funny if Gilchrist didn’t pose a real threat to the safety of both the Border Patrol and others. Gallagher seemed to care nothing about that threat.

Fox’s Geraldo Rivera has endorsed Condoleeza Rice for office, though he didn’t say which office. He just thinks she’s such a refreshing change from “the thug ethic” pervadding the rest of black America.

Rick Santorum visited Fox News on Election Day to help talk up voter ID laws and other, similar restrictions. But Santorum gave Fox a bonus by not just promoting the laws but also by smearing their opponents as voter fraud supporters. Or worse.

Professional Fox News Christians are constantly whining about how Christians get no respect; yet, they have no problem denigrating atheists at every turn. Not only does Fox not want atheists to be able to erect billboards; but they really don't want them to have their own military "chaplains" which Satan's minions have been requesting for several years. In 2011, Fox propaganda priest Fr. Jonathan Morris opined that those lobbying for atheists chaplains are engaging in politicking that "degrades" the military. In May of this year, the idea of atheist chaplains was derided on Outnumbered and America's Newsroom. This morning Fr. Jonathan Morris' Sunday Fox sermon continued the derision, only this time it was directed at a specific individual.

If you’ve been watching Fox News since Election Day, you might have noticed something has suddenly gone missing: their deathly fears – which they once seemed to have felt duty-bound to instill in every single viewer – over Ebola. Coincidentally, the panic seems to have dissipated just at the time that President Obama asked for emergency funds to fight the disease.
